We’ve got a limited round of EPL action this weekend with five games in Week 28 being postponed due to FA Cup Day 6 taking place on the weekend. We’re still bringing you our tips for some of the remaining games, with five games going ahead starting with Manchester City hosting Stoke on Thursday morning.
EPL Week 28 Betting Tips
Manchester City vs Stoke City (Thursday 7am AEDT)
Manchester City will host Stoke in an early EPL fixture this week to accommodate for their FA Cup clash on the weekend. It’ll be a busy couple of weeks for the citizens, who have two EPL matches, one Champions League tie and their FA Cup Quarter Final game in the span of 10 days. City have a great record against Stoke, along with their 4-1 win in the reverse fixture earlier this year, Manchester have won 3 of their last four meetings with Stoke while Stoke have only managed 1 goal in their last 8 trips to Etihad.
While Stoke have been in some inconsistent form lately and their record against Manchester City isn’t the greatest, they will be able to take some solace in the fact that the Sky Blues might have one eye on a few games down the road here. We might even see the likes of workhorse midfielders like Yaya Toure and Fernandinho get rested for this one. If Stoke are locked in defensively, I wouldn’t be surprised if they came away with a result here.

Bournemouth vs West Ham (Sunday 2am AEDT)
After a decent middle portion of the season in which they surprised a lot of critics, Bournemouth seem to be on the slide, winning just one of their last 10 games. They’ll come up against one of the stronger mid placed teams in the league in West Ham. It’s damming for the home side here that on only one occasion have the beaten the Hammers, which coincidentally marked their first ever Premier League win.
With the squad they boast, one would think Bournemouth should be in a better position they are, however, recruits Jack Wilshere and Jordan Ibe are struggling to find form leaving the Cherries are short of attacking prowess. The home field advantage evens this match up slightly but I think the Hammers still have a little too much in the tank for a struggling Bournemouth side at the moment.

Everton vs West Bromwich Albion (Sunday 2am AEDT)
7th hosts 8th here as West Bromwich takes on an Everton side that lost in disappointing fashion to Tottenham last weekend. The Toffees went down in a high scoring 3-2 game that saw Romelu Lukaku continue his scoring ways with a 81st minute goal. Everton have played some great football this year and have been unlucky in a few defeats and just find themselves out of the top 6.
West Bromwich have been arguably the surprise packet of the league this year, and sit just outside the 7 big clubs as the next best team. They are the only team outside of the big 7 with a positive goal difference due to an attack by committee that sees striker Solomon Rondon, midfielder John Morrison and centre back Gareth McAuley all with over 5 goals on the season. It’ll be a tight contest here but I think the midfield class of Everton with Gareth Barry, Ross Barkley and Morgan Schneiderlin should be able to control possession and give in form striker Lukaku plenty of opportunities.

Liverpool vs Burnley (Monday 3am AEDT)
Liverpool host Burnley in the game of this half round early Monday morning. Liverpool claimed a massive 3-1 win over Arsenal last week to move themselves into the top four, although Arsenal and Manchester United are hot on their tails with a game in hand. This week will be a great chance for the Reds to put some distance between them and the 5th and 6th placed teams, putting the pressure on them to claim points in their make up games.
Liverpool went down to Burnley 2-0 earlier in the year in a game which they maintained a whopping 80% possession, a record for a losing side in Premier League history. I expect this game to go the same way as that one, although with the appropriate score line. That day Liverpool had 26 shots to Burnley’s 3. Odds are their luck couldn’t be that bad again.
TIP: Liverpool -1 - $1.67 at bet365
