The 2016-17 EPL season returns this weekend after a week off due to the international break. Continue reading for our EPL Week 12 Preview and Betting Tips.
Manchester United vs Arsenal (Saturday 11.30pm AEST)
The Red Devils will be searching for the biggest win of their season and if Paul Pogba can transfer his international form into the premier league then they will have a great chance at doing so. He hasn’t lived up to the hype for the Red Devils but he continued his goal scoring form with France on the weekend. They were able to earn a comfortable win in their last start which was a good confidence booster for the side.
Meanwhile Arsenal stumbled as per usual for the side when they are in a title race and they have two draws in their last three games. They too will be hoping that their star player can bring his international form into this game as Alexis Sanchez scored a screamer for Chile. We are predicting a tight contest with neither side wanting to give up the three points, it will end in a draw.
TIP: United / Arsenal Draw - $3.30 at Sportsbet
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City (Sunday 2am AEST)
City is another side that has stumbled in the title race – although there is no reason to panic with such a long way to go it is concerning for the team to lose its league form. However, it is clear the toll of the Champions League has affected them. They grabbed a huge 3-1 win over Barcelona in that tournament but have one win in their last five league games.
The Eagles aren’t doing any better and have lost their last four games. They are sitting just above the relegation zone and no one is expecting them to earn competition points in this contest. The side isn’t very strong on their home field and that shouldn’t change the result in this one.
TIP: HT/FT - City/City - $2.24 at CrownBet
Middlesbrough vs Chelsea (Monday 3am AEST)
Chelsea are arguably the most in form team in the competition and have climbed to second on the ladder. The side is riding a five game winning streak and it doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon. The team has found their goal scoring boots with Diego Costa and Eden Hazard producing their best over that period. They still have issues defensively but we are predicting that not to be an issue in this one as they face a Middlesbrough side that is averaging less than a goal a game.
TIP: HT/FT - Chelsea/Chelsea - $2.15 at William Hill
Everton vs Swansea City (Sunday 2am AEST)
Swansea suffered another embarrassing loss in their last start and they sit second last on the ladder. They have just one win to their name this year and have conceded a whopping 21 goals.
Meanwhile Everton has been in a form slump and they need a poor opponent, such as Swansea, to get them back in the winner’s circle and to boost their confidence. They are coming off a humiliating defeat against Chelsea and they will want to right their wrongs. We are predicting the side to put in a great performance in this one and to earn a big victory.
TIP: Everton to win - $1.55 at Ladbrokes
