Canberra Raiders Vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs
Where: GIO Stadium
When: Monday at 7:00pm AEST
Round 4 was the last time these two teams faced off. The Raiders snatched victory in a convincing 30-18 display. Historically, the Raiders are clear winners, holding a 28-21 record against the Rabbitohs, with a single draw to top it off.
This week should be all about the Rabbitohs. They are in solid form as last week saw them snap a two game losing streak, overcoming the Parramatta Eels. As for the ladder, they're sitting fourth behind the Bulldogs, but with the highest points for margin in the league (132) so don't let their position fool you.
The Rabbitoh’s Bryson Goodwin will replace Lote Tuquir who is suspended for his tackle last week on Parramatta Fullback Jarryd Hayne. Origin star Ben Te’o also returns from his suspension.
Canberra is at home and remaining unchanged despite going down to the Storm 28-14 last week. With fellow 2014 disappointment the Sharks playing so well of late, it’s safe to assume the Raiders are now playing for pride, hoping to not win their first wooden spoon since 1982. The only question is can they use the home field advantage to push them over the edge and repeat their Rd 4 performance?
We don’t think so.
Rabbitohs, Rabbitohs, Rabbitohs.
That’s all we are thinking.
Bet On: Rabbitohs at the line (-8.5) - $1.92
And if you’re a feeling like a bit of a gamble, get on Alex Johnston to score the First Try. Should get around $8 (not the best price), but all this kid does is get across the line.
