Esport action across the globe continues this Monday, the 6th of July and with it, we are back with another round of best bets for the night. Today we focus heavily in on the CS:GO Nine to Five tournament, which boasts some big matchups.
Esports Betting Tips: Monday, July 6th
HONORIS vs Wizards
Nine to Five 1
HONORIS are coming into this match on the back of a five-match losing streak against Apeks, HAVU, ALTERNATE aTTaX, PACT and Complexity. They managed to win a map off Complexity, which is a huge achievement on paper, but at the same time, it's also the only positive I can take from HONOR’S' performances.
HONORIS finished the LOOT.BET Season 7 16th-18th by winning only one match against their regional rivals Wisla Krakow. Apart from that, HONORIS were only participating at the Home Sweet Home Cup competitions, but even there they failed to achieve anything worth writing about.
Wizards, on the other end, are another team that was formed not long ago and have played only four games so far with a 50% win rate. They defeated 9INE and Excellency but fell short against AGF and Wisla Krakow.
The core of Wizards played only four games together, which obviously is not ideal, but at the same time, I am not too optimistic about HONORIS, who looked terrible in recent weeks. This leads me to believe we are in for an open match, where any team can potentially come out ahead. HONORIS might be higher rated, but this is only because they have played more games than Wizards. But in reality, Wizards are at least equal, if not better than HONORIS when it comes to the overall quality. Value bet on Wizards!
Illuminar vs Wisla Krakow
Nine to Five 1
Wisla Krakow managed three wins out of the last five matches against 9INE, Wizards and Gamer Legion, but lost to mens (13-16) and FATE (8-16). Wisla Krakow also participated at the ESEA MDL Season 34 Europe, where they finished 12th with only four wins out of 10 games played, and at the LOOT.BET Season 7, where they lost to HAVU and SKADE, thus suffered an early elimination.
While Wisla Krakow's form is not exactly promising, Illuminar are in a far worse shape. They have won only 45.8% of their matches across the last three months and are 2-3 in their last five. They managed to defeat Hard Legions and SKADE, but lost to SKADE and twice against ex-SMASH.
Illuminar also recently finished their run through Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup ninth-12th, and CyberBet Summer Cup 2020, where they managed to finish third by picking up wins against SKADE, Ambish and Budapest Five, yet lost to HellRaisers and FATE.
There are no previous matches between these two teams, but considering all players are Polish, they have probably played against each other countless times before, so they should know to be familiar with each other. If we consider that, I don't understand why Illuminar are priced at such low odds. Everyone familiar with these Polish CS:GO derbies should know they're often a toss-up, so betting on Wisla Krakow makes the most sense. Even though Wisla Krakow are not a good team, I believe they are not as bad as the odds suggest. Bet on the underdogs!
Syman vs Adaptation
Nine to Five 1
Syman won only two games out of last five played against 100pinggods and GamerLegion, however, failed to show up against AGO, HellRaisers and sAw. Syman are considered to be the middle-of-the-pack team in the CIS region, which I can agree with.
They have finished fifth at the recent WePlay! Clutch Island Closed Qualifier, sixth at the ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, third in the second and fifth instalment of Home Sweet Home Cup and third at the CyberBet Cup 2020. As evident from their results, Syman are nothing special, but at the same time, they are also not a bad team.
As for Adaptation, they are a fresh team, that has played only three matches since their inception. So far they have won twice against an unknown Serbian team LvlUP and lost to CR4ZY. Looking at their roster, it's quite a colourful one, with players hailing from all over the region, including Israel, North Macedonia and Denmark, which concerns me. Having such a diverse roster will likely result in some communication issues - at least at the start of their joint venture.
With all due respect, I don't expect much from Adaptation. They might have potential, but anything else than a 2-0 victory for Syman will be a huge upset in my book. Syman are a solid tier two team, who on top of that has the experience of playing against teams like Adaptation.
The odds offered on Syman here are not worth talking about, however, a -4.5 round bet on map one is worth looking at. This will be a must-win match for Syman and I expect them to start the series strong as to not suffer any shock losses. Bet on Syman to crush Adaptation on the first map.
