Even the best have to take the occasional night off. That’s how I feel about the Heat going down 104-90 in game 3 to a fired up Brooklyn squad. Brooklyn shot the ball extremely well going 15/25 at 60% from beyond the arc. But they really dominated in the paint. Out rebounding the heat 43 to 27.
This trend will be very hard to sustain from Brooklyn’s point of view and you will see far greater output from the supporting cast of the Miami Heat today. LeBron James had 28 points in game 3 but really had no impact after half time. They odds of the Heat playing another terrible second half are very low. We should also see a sense of urgency from the Heat inside the paint. This will create a very emotional type game with lots of fouls. Look for the heat to pull away late in the 4th.
