This Wednesday, November 9th is another big day for ice hockey fans and we have more NHL betting tips with a focus on the Australian televised Kings at Maple Leafs which is live on Fox Sports 4.
LA Kings at Toronto Maple Leafs (Wed, Nov 9th at 11.30 am AEST - Live on Aus TV)
The Kings head to the north-east to start their five game road trip against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The injury depleted Kings are holding up early and adapting to life without Jonathan Quick, Marian Gaborik and now Brayden McNabb. L.A currently sit in the lower half of the standings with a 5-6-0 record. They have won two on the trot with an overtime victory over last season's champions Pittsburgh and also shut out Calgary in a 5-0 demolition. The Kings have struggled early to score goals, especially from an extra man advantage, so more from the offensive side on the power play will certainly help.
The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, have won three in a row and have an outstanding home record of 4-1-0. Toronto put six goals on the board against a struggling Canucks team, with Tyler Bozak scoring a double as the Maple Leafs dominated the offensive side of things, posting 42 shots on Ryan Milller. Last season both teams met 3 times with the Kings winning the battle even though they lost in Toronto 5-0 last time they were in town. Think this one goes to the Leafs.

Edmonton Oilers at Pittsburgh Penguins (Wed, 9th Nov at 11.00 am AEST)
We all knew at some point Nugent Hopkins was going to become a threat to other teams in the NHL. The former number one has started strong this season. He had the winning goal against the Red Wings in Detroit on Monday morning and has two goals and five assists heading into the upcoming battle with the Penguins. The Oilers forwards are an exciting bunch to watch especially with Connor McDavid leading the charge with the team’s most goals. They also have an outstanding away record so far registering a 5-1-1 away record, but in saying that the Penguins are unbeaten at home this season. Sidney Crosby has been the difference since he returned from injury. The All Star center sits third overall in the goals category, and had two goals in the 5-0 win over San Jose. Expect some fireworks in this battle with Crosby and McDavid meeting for the first time. Ultimately the home team should get this done.
Tip: Pittsburgh Penguins to win - $1.54 at CrownBet
Ottawa Senators at Nashville Predators ( Wed, Nov 9th at 12.00 pm AEST)
Ottawa head south to take on the Nashville Predators in a contest where the Predators need to show why they are a chance to take part in the Stanley Cup. The Senators are coming off a 2-1 come from behind loss to Buffalo, which saw the Sabres snatch two late goals to take the victory. The Senators have had a busy week with Mike Condon being traded to the team. He will now match up with Ottawa’s number one goalie Craig Anderson. That makes two solid goalies to back up a well trained defensive line.
Nashville have been disappointing since the second week of the season, which is a surprise to the league and their fans. The Preds are 2-5-3 in the past ten which is hard to imagine after an outstanding first week of play where they beat Chicago twice. It's hard to point a finger at who is to blame because they are still scoring goals and the injury list is empty. But If we take a close look at the defensive end we find that the Preds have had a hard time getting the puck out of the zone and goalie Rinne has been inconsistent from the get go. Expect the Preds to kick start their season off tomorrow at home against the Senators.
Tip: Nashville Predators 60 min line- $1.87 at Sportsbet
