Another big day coming up in the MLB as we have baseball betting tips for the Royals v Red Sox game and more from Monday, August 29th!
Kansas City Royals at Boston Red Sox (Monday 10:00am)
The Royals finished their three game series at Fenway on Monday morning. The Royals are not completely out of the AL Wildcard race. They are 9-1 in the last 10, thanks to solid pitching. Right handed pitcher Yordano Ventura starts Monday. Against the Marlins he threw 6 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts to help get the win. With a 2.03 ERA throughout August, and pitching for a team that are 9-1, the confidence should be all with the Royals.
Let’s not take anything away from Boston who lead the AL East and are 6-4 in the last 10, despite having a battle on their hands with bottom feeder Tampa Bay. The Sox were still able to wrap up the four game series in Tampa, but it came at a cost. Andrew Benintendi went down with a knee issue.
Tip: Kansas City Royals to win - $2.28 at Sportsbet
Chicago Cubs at LA Dodgers (Monday 6:10am)
Dodgers have taken it to the league leaders, but will have their work cut out when they face Jon Lester, 14-4 ERA 2.81 and is 5-0 since the break. Dodgers got the win yesterday with help from Cory Seager, who homered in the first inning. Cubs have been tough to beat all year and rarely loss two in a row.
Tip: Chicago Cubs / Over 8.5 - $2.76 at Sportsbet
Pittsburgh Pirates at Milwaukee Brewers (Monday 4:10 am)
Pirates are enjoying this series after winning the first two games, and are on the brink of a rare two game sweep over the brewers. Ivan Nova who allowed one run against the Astros, will start on a 10-6 record and a 4.55 ERA. Pittsburgh needs this as well as every other game to chase the Cardinals down for a Wildcard place.
Tip: Pittsburgh Pirates to win - $1.80 at Sportsbet
Cleveland Indians at Texas Rangers (Monday 5:05 am)
The divisional leaders meet in game 4, early Monday morning. The first two meets were ridiculously one sided with a shutout in game 1. Cleveland bounced back in game 2, with Abraham Almonte and Roberto Perez dominant in attack. Indians pitcher, Danny Salazar, has struggled in recent times, but has an opportunity to topple the Rangers.
Texas have been solid with a 6-4 record in the last 10, but have dropped a few games that should have been victories against out of contention final teams. After being sidelined by injury, Derek Holland will start his second game back. He is 4-1 in 8 career starts against the Indians.
Tip: Texas Rangers +1.5 / Under 9.5 - $2.56 at Sportsbet
