Los Angeles Clippers at Oklahoma City Thunder (Thursday 1.30pm AEDT)
The Thunder has gone 3-6 since the all-star break with a lot of factors contributing to their poor performances. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant have been playing a high level but their inability to close out matches in the fourth quarter when the opposition’s defence becomes lock down has been very concerning. They have let leads against the Warriors and Clippers go to waste and they will need to take advantage of the regular season match ups like this one to improve before the playoffs begin.
Meanwhile the Clippers are continuing to win without their superstar Blake Griffin. Chris Paul has continued to play at an incredibly high level whilst DeAndre Jordan has become more involved on offence and is a monster on the boards. The side blew out the Mavericks in their last start and it was a big confidence booster that the side will take into this one. This one will be a close one but the Thunder should get the victory on home court.
TIP: Thunder 1-10 @ $2.95 with William Hill
Detroit Pistons at Dallas Mavericks (Thursday 12.30pm AEDT)
The Mavericks have entered a slump and have lost their past three games. Chandler Parsons and Wesley Matthews have been missing a lot of shots and the team is incredibly down on confidence. The Pistons will have had three days rest heading into this match and they picked up a massive win in their last start as they defeated the high flying Portland Trail Blazers. Reggie Jackson has been huge for the side and scored 30 points and nine assists in his last match whilst Andre Drummond has been continuing to dominate on the boards. I expect him to make a huge impact in this match similar to that of DeAndre Jordan in the Mavericks last match. Jordan outplayed the Mavericks big men and they had no answer for him and Andre Drummond has even more talent on offence. We are backing the Pistons to cause a big upset in this one.

Miami Heat at Milwaukee Bucks (Thursday 12pm AEDT)
The loss of Chris Bosh hurt the Heat but they seem to bouncing back well as they have won their past five matches. The addition of Joe Johnson has helped the team as they are now playing small ball at a better level whilst Hassan Whiteside has been putting up massive numbers since the all-star break and has really accepted his role coming off the bench.
The Bucks have started to progress nicely in the second half of the season and whilst they won’t make the playoffs this season, the young core of the squad has been developing nicely and the side will be confident and have a lot of potential heading into next season. The Bucks will challenge the Heat but ultimately the experience and solid defence of the away side will get them the win in this one.

New York Knicks vs Phoenix Suns (Thursday 1pm AEDT)
The Suns season was derailed when they lose Eric Bledsoe through injury. Since then they have pulled their team apart and they will have to rebuild when they head into next season. The Knicks are in a similar situation but have more stars on their roster and have already begun the rebuilding process. Carmelo Anthony seems to have sorted out his own personal issues and has come to a decision that he will remain with the Knicks and attempt to build a championship contender. This has resulted in his level of play increasing in recent weeks as his production, efficiency and points has improved. It will end up being another disappointing season for the city of basketball as they miss the playoffs but they will be too strong in this one and get the win.
TIP: Knicks @ $1.89 with Sportsbet
