It is still early stages of the season but the title race became a lot tighter last weekend with the shock loss of Manchester City to West Ham. The Hammers have now beaten Arsenal, Liverpool and City and all three victories came on the road. Continue reading for the English Premier League Week 7 Betting Tips and preview.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City (Sunday 9.45pm AEST)
City not only conceded their first goal of the premier league season last week against the Hammers but they also suffered their first loss. After having a perfect start they look to regroup but it will be tough as they travel to White Hart Lane. The corresponding fixture last season saw the Sky Blues come away with a 1-0 victory and I expect the visitors to bounce back with style and pick up the three points.
Despite only suffering the one loss this season, the Spurs have been less than impressive. They have won their past two matches but have struggled in front of goal and striker Harry Kane has now gone 11 matches without finding the back of the net and he will need to recapture the form of last season for the side to stand a chance this weekend as his team has only scored five goals in their six matches.

Southampton vs Swansea City (Sunday 12am AEST)
These two sides have played out three draws each this season whilst only registering three wins between them. They have looked dangerous in attack at times but it is evident their defence is letting them down.
The Saints have a very young side and have lacked consistency. They put on a strong performance last week and were unfortunate to not get any points against Manchester United despite going down by two goals. They created great opportunities but David De Gea was strong in goals and pulled off some tremendous saves.
The Swans were able to hold the Toffees scoreless but couldn’t find the back of the net themselves. I am expecting both sides to score this weekend but for neither side to do enough to secure a victory.

Newcastle United vs Chelsea (Sunday 2.30am AEST)
The Maggies have been very disappointing this season and their steady decline over the past two seasons has reached its lowest point. After six matches they are winless and it is incredibly unlikely that they pull off a miracle this weekend. They have registered only three goals this season and even though the Blues are having massive defensive problems it will be a big ask for them to put one past the defending champions.
Chelsea were able to defeat Arsenal last weekend but they got a helping hand by the antics of striker Diego Costa resulting in a red card for Gabriel Paulista just before half time. The Gunners would concede a goal early in the second half before a second was score in injury time. Chelsea will do enough to record consecutive wins.

Watford vs Crystal Palace (Monday 1am AEST)
The newly promoted Watford side has risen above expectations as a lot of experts had them being relegated at the end of the season. It is still way too early to say they have shown enough to stay in the top flight but with but sitting in equal sixth position on nine points is a good place to start.
The Eagles sit in the same position but have had a tougher draw in the opening six games and have registered a victory against Chelsea and suffered two late losses to Tottenham Hotspur and ladder leaders Manchester City. Palace have played a very aggressive style of football and have pushed for victory in all of their matches. This is evident in that they haven’t registered a draw this season as they have either pushed for the goals and been rewarded or been caught on the break and suffered a loss. They will continue this style this weekend and reap the rewards.

West Bromwich Albion vs Everton (Tuesday 5am AEST)
The Toffees were unable to crack the defence of the Swans last weekend and it took a bit of momentum out of the side. They have a very well balanced side with strong defenders, attacking and creative midfielders and the men up front that can take advantage of the chances created.
The Baggies have split their season so far with two victories, two draws and two losses. They are coasting along whilst and haven’t suffered a loss since their week three loss to Chelsea where they almost caused an upset. Unfortunately for them Everton will be wanting to bounce back and prove that their start hasn’t been a fluke. They are a young side that are playing for each other and will take the three points.
