Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, April 16th 2025
Race 4: Cogburn Worlds fastest Horse @ Widden BM78 – 2200m – 2:35pm (AEST)
(3) Bacio Del Mist $5.00: 7YO Grey Mare who is dropping significantly back in class. Finished midfield at Group 2 level over 2600m last outing and now gets back to 2200m. Draws well and gets in nicely with the 2kg claim. She has been well supported in the early market and has a handy record at this track. This looks to be a winnable race for her. Goes well.
(4) Soul Of Spain $2.90: 4YO Gelding who is a slightly easy in the early market, but looked to improve second up and will again be improving third up with another rise in trip. Draws nicely and gets a solid booking. Will be finishing strongly.
(6) Tenbury Wells $9.00/$3.60: Value pick of the field who can play a role on his day. Has been safely held in all three runs this time in, but looks suited out to this trip. Blow out hope.
(3) Bacio Del Mist
$5.00 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Asahi Super Dry BM78 - 1100m - 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) Deprivation $9.50/$2.70: Resuming 6YO who has a terrific first up record and has trialled beautifully on two occasions leading into this. Gets in light and rates well. Expect Osmond to role forward and give them something to catch. Happy to be on.
(4) Snack Bar $4.20: Resuming 3YO gelding who has form behind Autumn Glow and Lady Shenandoah which is pretty handy. He gets into a much easier affair here and gets the booking of J-Mac. Worth thought.
(8) Drift Net $5.00: 4YO Mare who has been a bit of a bridesmaid and lacked a little bit of grit in a few races where she loomed the winner and then managed to get beat. She has a nice 86% strike rate for running the drum, so we can expect her to be around the mark again, but would like to see a run first. Could go either way.
(1) Deprivation
$9.50/$2.70 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Tab BM78 - 1600m – 4:55pm (AEST)
(2) Space Age $21/$4.80: 5YO Gelding who wasn’t all that far off them over 1550m last time out. He boasts a nice 1600m record and is 1 from 1 at this track/trip. Goes well fourth up and could be a sneaky chance here.
(6) It’s a Knockout $4.60: Freshened 4YO Mare who was dominant over 1550m in this grade to end her campaign last time. Has been good first and second up this time out, but disappointing most recently when tackling 1900m. Freshened now and looks capable of a bold run back to 1600m. Watch the market.
(11) Fays Angels $41/$9.00: 5YO Mare who ran on nicely over 1400m when resuming and looked as though she needed further. Gets out to the mile now and goes well when second up. Rates well and gets in light with the 3kg claim. I would be a lot keener if she drew a better gate, but with some luck she goes close here. Blow out hope.
(11) Fays Angels
$41/$9.00 (0.5U/1U)
