Sydney midweek racing heads to Kembla Grange for an 8-race card. The track is set to be wet with a current heavy 8 condition. The rail will be out 3 metres for the entire circuit. All selections will be based on the wet track conditions. Monitor the track throughout the day for any changes.
Kembla Grange Racing Tips – Wednesday, April 26th 2023
Race 3: Kiama BM68 2000m
DOLPHINA (4): Freshened here and is unbeaten third up and is proven on the wet and over this distance. Definitely worth thought and wouldn’t leave out of any exotic bet.
LOOSE LOVE (5): Very impressive last start winning by 5 lengths on the heavy track. That win always continues his perfect heavy track record. Up in class today and jumps up to the 2000m. Query is can he led over this distance? Anything over $4 looks worth a small play.
MINDSPACE (7): Ran well last start over this distance on the wet track and finished in the minors. Last two starts have been good enough and should be rock hard fit now to back up a 2000m. Draws a good gate today and hoping he can track LOOSE LOVE and pounce on him late.
MINDSPACE – EACH WAY
$6/$2.20
Race 4: 3YO Maiden 1300M
IRON MAN (1): Third up today and should just be winning this. Didn’t miss by much last start and the money has poured in today already. Price looks too short for a win bet, but definitely whack it in for an anchor in any multi.
Race 5: Maiden 1300m
EMANCIPIST (3): He is resuming today and has not been far off. Heavy track is a query, but happy to have again and he shouldn’t be far off that maiden win.
LITTLE COINTREAU (4): Finished in the placings last outing and has had two trials since. Wet track may be the concern as he is a backmarker and it will be hard to make up ground.
SUMO STAR (2): Impressed with lasts effort to come flying from the back to finish third. Hasn’t missed the minors this prep, but gets a wet track today and may find it a bit tricky to launch on this deck.
Race 6: Class 1 handicap 1300M
CHOPIN (5): Zac Lloyd and Cummings combo has been elite lately and I can’t look elsewhere in this race. Third up today and getting a nice each way price. Closed from the back last start to finish third and that was on the heavy track. Hopefully can find a better sit midfield/off pace today and launch late.
HERB (1): Draws a nice gate and is a proven heavy tracker but carries a big weight. This is striking distance though. One for the exotics.
Race 7: Maiden 1500m
THE ENGLISHMAN (7): We tipped him last start at a short price and he flew late, but couldn’t pick the winners up. Happy to have again before looking to the sack file. No excuses today with a nice gate and should be rock hard fit.
