NBA Betting Tips: Wednesday, 30th November
New York Knicks at Detroit Pistons
Little Caesars Arena, 11am AEDT
The Knicks ($1.50) will start favourites on Wednesday morning in what will be their third meeting with the Pistons ($2.65). They lead the season series 2-0 after taking care of business at the Garden by a combined winning margin of 33 points.
There’s seldom been a better time for the Knicks against to come up against one of their bogey teams. They enter this slate having lost four of their last five games, including each of their last two in front of their home fans.
However, the Knicks have won each of their last 10 games against the Pistons, and that is their best current win streak against any team in the association.
Still, there’s some cause for optimism for the Pistons heading into this one. They’ve won two of their last four games and both of those wins were against likely playoff teams in the Nuggets and the Jazz.
The Pistons haven’t had many better opportunities in recent seasons to push this Knicks team all the way and even record an elusive win against them. In saying that, you would be a brave man to bet on them to snap a 10-game losing streak in this matchup.
All things considered, the Knicks should be able to continue their dominance over the Pistons and cover the small spread, but I’ll only be backing them for one unit on this occasion.

Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Center, 11:30am AEDT
Two teams with contrasting form lines will lock horns in the second of three games on Wednesday. The Mavericks ($2.05) will play hosts to the Warriors ($1.80) in the first game of their season series.
Despite this being their first outing this campaign, these teams are very familiar with each other after facing off in the Western Conference Finals only six months ago. The Warriors won that series 4-1 and obviously went on to win the NBA Championship.
The Warriors will bring confidence from their drubbing of the Mavericks in the Playoffs, but they’ll also be pumped after finally kickstarting this campaign with some strong recent form. They’ll head to the American Airlines Center having won eight of their last 11 games, including two of their last three on the road.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks are currently going through some immense struggles and have in turn opted to tweak their roster. Four losses on the spin and seven from their last 10 games has resulted in Mark Cuban pulling the trigger and signing veteran point guard Kemba Walker.
Being back in front of their home fans after three consecutive losses on the road will give the Mavericks a boost, but it likely won’t be enough against a Warriors team that has finally gotten rolling this season.
I’m expecting the Warriors to make it four wins in a row and to inflict further pain on the Mavericks.

Los Angeles Clippers at Portland Trail Blazers
Moda Center, 2pm AEDT
Meeting for almost the first time in 12 months, the Trail Blazers will host the Clippers at the Moda Center on Wednesday. Both teams will be without a bunch of their key players, and that always makes it tough for the bookmakers to price; however, it will be the home side who will start as the favourites ($1.60 vs $2.35).
Expected to be missing from the Clippers rotation for this one is stars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, as well as important bench players Luke Kennard and John Wall. For the Trail Blazers, superstar Damian Lillard will miss again with another calf injury, joining Keon Johnson and Gary Payton on the sidelines.
The Trail Blazers have lost their early season spark and enter this matchup having lost five of their last six games, including two in a row at home. Their only win during this span came in overtime against the struggling Knicks.
Considering their horrible current form as well as the absence of Lillard, it’s surprising to me to see the Trail Blazers priced as favourites against a Clippers team that has proven they can play well without their key players. The Clippers won three of their four meetings with the Trail Blazers last season, and it wouldn’t surprise me to land the first blow against them this campaign.
