Port Adelaide vs Sydney Betting Tips
Adelaide Oval, Saturday 18th June 1:45pm (AEST)
Port Adelaide
Injuries: Trent Dumont (Calf), Orazio Fantasia (Quad), Scott Lycett (Shoulder), Trent McKenzie (Concussion), Jake Pasini (Knee) Josh Sinn (Groin), Travis Boak (HS Protocol), Robbie Gray (General Soreness)
The Power will be without a number of key players on Saturday. Orazio Fantasia continues to miss with a quad injury, as does Scott Lycett with a shoulder. Veterans Robbie Gray and Travis Boak are also on the sidelines in Round 14.
Port Adelaide rallied hard against the in-form Tigers last weekend but eventually went down by a couple of goals. That was their second loss on the road on the spin and makes it very difficult for them to push for a finals berth. The Power now sit in 12th spot on the ladder with a 5-7 record and will probably need to win seven or eight of their remaining 10 games to clinch a spot in the top eight. With that said, they’ve won five of their last seven games and seem to be trending in the right direction.
Sydney
Injuries: Tom Hickey (Toe), Josh Kennedy (Hamstring), Sam Naismith (Knee), Colin O’Riordan (Head), Angus Sheldrick (Knee)
The Swans continue to be without both big men in Tom Hickey and Sam Naismith due to leg injuries. Josh Kennedy is the other key out after suffering a bad hamstring injury, which will keep him sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks.
After a bad month of football that saw them lose three out of four matches, two of which were against bottom half sides, the Swans bounced back in a big way in their two matches prior to the bye with wins over two great sides in Richmond and Melbourne. Those two key wins have seen the Swans stay right in the mix with the best teams, with their 8-4 record placing them in seventh spot on the ladder.
Match Prediction
The Power have dominated this matchup in recent years with wins in each of their last five matches against the Swans, four of which have been by 23+ points. However, the Swans are clearly the better team this campaign and will fancy their chances of chalking up another win on the road. With that said, this is too tough to call and I’ll be looking at the total points market for my best bet here instead.
Each of the last three meetings between these sides have had totals of 159 points or less and five of the last six matches for the Power this season have also gone under that total. I expect that trend to continue here with the unders saluting.

Luke Parker is having another great season and continues to hit the scoreboard when resting forward. He’s kicked a goal in four of his last five matches and is great value to find the big sticks again.
Luke Parker Anytime Goal Kicker ($1.90 Ladbrokes)
Todd Marshall has probably been lucky to get a game at times in his young career, but he’s certainly justified his spot this season. He’s kicked 17 goals from his last seven matches and should be good for multiple goals again on Saturday providing he gets the supply.
Todd Marshall 2+ Goals ($1.68 Ladbrokes)
Dan Houston has been Port Adelaide’s best player this season in my opinion and is good value in the disposal markets this weekend. He’s averaging 26 touches a game over his last three and I like him for 25+ again here.
Dan Houston 25+ Disposals ($2.40 Ladbrokes)
