AFL Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide Betting Tips
Mars Stadium, Saturday 31st July 12:20pm (AEST)
This Round 20 fixture will be played at the Western Bulldogs home away from home at Mars Stadium in Ballarat. Due to their contrasting positions on the ladder the Bulldogs will start as the very short-priced favourites and with a handicap of 36.5 points in the line market.
Match Prediction
The Western Bulldogs come into this fixture off one of their better wins of the season when defeating Melbourne by 20 points last weekend. They led at every break in that top of the table clash and have now moved into first spot as a result. The Bulldogs have now won 14 matches already this season and will be solely focused on finishing in the top two to secure at least two home finals.
Adelaide were able to secure a rare win over Hawthorn last weekend to the tune of 19 points. The Crows scored over 100 points for just the third time this season and the first time since Round 4 against North Melbourne. They now have six wins to their name and have moved up a spot on the ladder into 15th.
Injuries always play a big role in matches during this point of the season and this one is no different. The Bulldogs continue to be without Adam Treloar, Alex Keath and Stefan Martin who are all firmly in their best 22, while Josh Dunkley is set to return after missing last weekend due to Covid protocols. For the Crows, key players missing for at least this weekend include Luke Brown, Daniel Talia and Wayne Milera.
As we mentioned above, the Bulldogs are the overwhelming favourites in this clash between two teams on opposite ends of the ladder. The Bulldogs return for another home game in Ballarat at a ground they play extremely well on and one that the Crows have only ever played on once in their history. This fixture has all the makings of a bloodbath and that’s exactly what we expect will transpire.

Same Game Multi
We’ve cooked up a solid little three-leg Same Game Multi for this midday clash on Saturday. For the first leg of our multi we’ll be taking Bulldogs half-back flanker Taylor Duryea to rack up at least 15 disposals, which he’s been able to do in 16 of his 18 matches this season. Secondly, we’ll be on Aaron Naughton to kick 2+ goals as we expect this to be comfortable win for the Bulldogs which will naturally see their key forwards get plenty of looks at goal. Finally, we’ll be including Adelaide’s Tom Lynch for 15+ disposals. Lynch has averaged 21 disposals over his last two games and has reached at least 15 in all bar one games that he’s played to completion.
