With a race-free week in Victoria at the moment we’ve got two decent midweek meetings on the Kensington track in Sydney as well as Doomben up in Queensland.
Billy Bestford has done the form to find you the best bets across the afternoon.
Horse Racing Tips: Wednesday, July 28th
Randwick-Kensington Race 3
Think (2) Bethencourt looks very hard to beat following his big run against the pattern of the day last start at Canterbury. Was one of the few horses who made ground off the pace and this longer trip looks suitable. This race looks no harder than what he’s been going around in and just needs to hold current form to be winning.
Randwick-Kensington Race 4
Pretty excited to see (3) Cueillir step into metro grade today after some impressive performances to begin his career. The most recent of those was a big win at Gosford , storming down the outside to put 1.5L on a handy horse in Sniper Legend. Looks above average and can make it 3/3 here.
Randwick-Kensington Race 5
You couldn’t miss the last run of (3) Saomi who flashed home from a mile back to just miss behind Turnstyle. That horse has since run well on Saturday. Looks a nice setup today 3rd up and is clearly airborne this prep. Gets the in-form Hugh Bowman on his back today and he maps for a perfect run from gate 3.
Doomben Race 2
Think (7) Lasting Kiss can continue her good form following two good wins down in NSW. Looks ready to peak 3rd up and out to 1200m and is beginning to build a very good overall record. Is yet to miss the quinella in five starts and I think she will be infront of her main rival in the run.
