Another Saturday means we’ve got some good quality racing, and Spring is starting to feel close with the Bletchingley Stakes attracting a strong field at Caulfield. There is good support meetings at both Rosehill and Doomben and we have found the Best Bets to hopefully find you some throughout the day.
Horse Racing Tips: Saturday, July 24th
Rosehill Race 1
Keen on (6) Military Expert here following a very good debut run when finishing 2nd to King Of Sparta. He had to work early there to find a spot and then was headed and kept finding again through the line. Is well bred and expected to win his share of races so I think he will come on leaps and bounds from that experience. Gets a 1kg swing on KOS here and expect Berry to be positive.

Doomben Race 3
(3) Tamilaide looks an exciting horse and has begun to build a very good record early on in his career. He flew home in the Grafton Guineas to win easily and did what many horses couldnt that day, and came from the back of the field. Ran some slick closing sectionals and deserves a crack at Saturday grade. Will get back from the inside draw but in the small field it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Caulfield Race 2
Keen on (1) Great Again who is knocking on the door for a win. Looks primed to strike here 3rd up and getting out to 1400m. Should be suited by the track conditions here and just sets up perfectly for a peak performance. Looks to get the perfect run in transit from gate 6 and and I am expecting him to be a big improver.
Doomben Race 6
Think there is a promising horse here in (17) So Clever who has strung two wins together to start, finding the front and sprinting clear in the straight. Those wins were arrogant and he looks a city-class horse. Expect similar tactics with the featherweight on his back he will once again be hard to run down. Has a very likeable racing pattern and will look the winner at some stage.
Rosehill Race 7
Really like (4) Ziegfield here and expect him to be a big improver 2nd up and getting onto a dry track looks a massive key. Was unsuited fresh in very wet conditions but kept trying to the line . He’s been a winner 2nd up in the past and his overall record of 7:3-1-1 shows he has talent. At an Each Way quote he looks a massive chance in a very open race.
