Race 3
I think (9) Big Angel looks a good bet here tonight. Was pretty unlucky here last start and you could argue should have finished much closer if she wasn’t tight for room. Draws wide tonight which should suit her racing style and Oli has stuck for the ride. She’s generally competitive in these sorts of races and I’m happy to take on the favourite who has to rise in grade once again.
Race 5
(3) Brownie is an up and coming speedster who is beginning to build a handy record. Comes into this winning three of last four races and proper bolted in here at The Valley last time out. Expect them to go straight to the lead and use the good 3kg claim for Richards and I’d be surprised if anything runs her down. Stays in the same grade and will carry just half a kilo more than she did for that 3L win a few weeks ago.
Race 7
(9) Savannah Cloud looks mighty hard to beat in this one. Just cannot buy a win at the moment, finishing 2nd in his last four starts. Ran 2nd to the very promising Marabi first up and now drops in grade for this. His only win came over this trip and he draws very nicely in barrier 3. This doesn’t look an overly strong race and hes been super competitive in much tougher fields. He won’t get a better chance to win his 2nd race tonight.
