It's been a massive week of horse racing, and while the excitement of Spring Carnival at Flemington is winding down, the action continues around the country as Luke Krahe takes a look at his best bets for Sunday, November 10th, from Ararat, Moe and Moree.
Racing Betting Tips - Sunday November 10th 2019
Ararat Race 5
If there’s any black odds around for (2) Burning The Clock, snatch them up ASAP! The SA visitor trained by Will Clarken is still yet to win out of maiden grade, her two runs back have been so good and it won’t be long before that second win is locked in. He resumed at Morphetville in a BM66, got well back and ran on hard in a race where it was favourable to be up on the speed, the beaten margin was only 0.2 lengths. He then was again at Morphetville last time, was held-up early in the straight but did have his chance to run down an impressive winner. I love the appointment of Linda Meech here on Cup Day. She will no doubt be positive on him and this stable always must be respected when coming to Vic, especially to these Country Cup meetings.
Ararat Race 6
(5) Instigator has been posted as the favourite early for the Ararat Cup and has been well backed. Currently around the 7/4 mark ($2.75), I am happy to take a big stand against him. He is still yet to win a race in Australia after 10 starts here and has actually only won one race, on debut 20 starts ago! Two back in the Hamilton Cup he ran second but was beaten 6 lengths, admittedly he was held-up and should have finished closer but wouldn’t have come close to the winner. Then at the Valley last time in a harder race he was very plain and showed no dash at all. I will be genuinely shocked if he starts shorter than $3 and I would need double that to be backing him. (8) Stealthy Lucas should be at peak fitness here fourth up, he was supported at double figure odds last start in the Horsham Cup and made good ground late. He will be giving them a start but the price differential between him and the favourite is too great in my opinion and he looks the value.
Moe Race 4
(5) Red Jewel Girl has yet to win out of maiden grade but has placed at 10 of the 13 other runs. She missed a place for the first time this prep last start at Bendigo after she was held-up at a vital stage but did make some nice ground late. She has never been on a heavy track but has only missed a place once in 6 starts on a rain affected going, so today’s conditions should suit. She gets a good claim and has versatility, she probably just needs to get the right horse to follow and she will finish as good as any.

Moree Race 5
Those that backed (4) Swoop at his last start will agree that he was one of the better things beaten that you will ever see. He was here at the track at the same trip, the flying 950m. He settled back and was running on hard before being flattened at the furlong, he picked himself up and came again and went down by the narrowest of margins. Horses just don’t do that, in any class of race. He has versatility and I don’t expect that he will settle that far back today from the good draw. As always, these jump-and-run affairs need everything to go right, if so, he should be too good. He has been very consistent this prep and deserves another win.
