Horse Racing Tips: Saturday, November 27th
Caulfield Race 1
Looking forward to the debut of (6) Ebhaar who is bred to be a superstar and has looked the part at a recent trial. Obviously it’s a whole new ball game here on race day but I expect the booking of Oliver from a good draw is a strong lead, while the Snowdens don’t often bring a 2yo down south. Also won a Flemington jumpout leading into this and I think she could be a very exciting horse.
Rosehill Race 5
(8) Irish Angel flies fresh and is a deadset swimmer. Will get all conditions to suit here today in what looks to be a proper slugfest in the mud. Loves the 1100m trip and there looks to be a fair bit of speed on paper. She’ll get back and should be suited by the tempo. If Collett can get her out into clear air I expect her to be too strong for these in the very wet conditions.
Caulfield Race 5
(9) Steinem was far from disgraced in the G1 Empire Rose, finishing just a few lengths off some proper elite horses. Ran a length 2nd to Colette the start prior and should be ready to peak now 4th up from a spell. Much more suited back in this grade and I’d expect her to be winding up late. Speed looks genuine enough here so the map shouldn’t be too negative for her and she’s always shown a bit of X factor.
Gold Coast Race 8
Heading north for a bet here because I think (1) Wandabaa looks extremely hard to beat. Was enormous last start in The Hunter behind Lost And Running and now looks ready to win 4th from a spell. Will get favoured wet conditions and from barrier 6 I’d expect Mallyon to give her a perfect run in transit. Probably just needs to hold her form to be a very good winning chance. I’m against a few at the top of the market who look a query in the conditions and at the trip.
Caulfield Race 9
(7) I Am Superman looks suited today getting to 1400m and onto a dry deck. Has been going around with the elite sprinters in two starts this prep and was pretty unlucky in the Classique Legend last start. Seems to be going pretty well and has been a winner here at Caulfield before. Like the set up for him today and I think there’s a few in this race who are taking up too much of the market. He should be much shorter.
