Horse Racing Tips: Saturday, November 20th
Kembla Grange Race 3
With the forecast for a bit of rain in the lead up to race day, I like (8) Dragonstone to make a winning return to the track. He proved his a horse with some ability in his first prep, winning one and running in the placings on two other occasions. His best performances came on heavy tracks and I expect him to give this a good shake today. Trial leading in was very smart and he will come back a much improved horse this 2nd prep.
Ballarat Race 4
I’m banking that (6) Duchess Of Dorset will be able to get 1200m here today and if so, she will be winning. Looks a very promising horse and this looks a weaker race than the last start at Flemington where she was very brave, only being run down late. Think Meech should be able to get her on the speed and I don’t think they will catch her.

Kembla Grange Race 5
If the rain doesn’t happen to be as bad as predicted I had (1) Incredulous Dream down as a horse I was keen to be with. Think she is clearly the class in this race and has been well backed all week since markets went up. She goes very well fresh and the trials leading into this have been good enough. Expect Tommy to give her a nice run from gate 6 and if things go her way she is probably the best horse in this field.

Kembla Grange Race 7
Expecting (3) Malkovich to be extremeley hard to beat here in the first running of ‘The Warra’. Looks bursting to win one this prep following two very good 2nds down in some strong Melbourne sprints but again this will be dependent on the weather. He’s proven to a soft 7 but if we get into the heavy range I probably won’t back him. Should lead these up from the inside draw and looks ready to peak third up in what is the weakest race he’s tackled this prep.
Ballarat Race 8
The runnign of The Ballarat Cup here will see strong field line up and I think (11) Thought Of That will take some catching yet again. Linda Meech has a good association with this horse and he just loves rolling in front and giving a strong kick when asked. Looks to get in well here with just 54.5kg and from a nice draw they will adopt their usual tactics. Doesn’t look to be a heap of speed either and this horse is airborne at the moment. Hard to knock.
(11) Thought Of That
