Horse Racing Tips: Saturday, December 18th
Randwick Race 1
(2) Himalaism has looked the part at two recent trials. He was scratched from a big race last week due to a wet track so the stable clearly have an opinion of him. McDonald has been aboard for the trials and will ride on race day. Looks exciting and I don’t think he’ll have to be a superstar to win this race today.
Flemington Race 2
(2) Squid Game had a few wraps on him leading into the debut and he didn’t disappoint, going forward and kicking away fro a strong win. The horse he beat there came out and won it’s next start so there is some form stacking up behind him. Can probably lead or sit OSL in this small field and this looks a nice stepping stone onto some better races.
Randwick Race 7
(8) Francesco Guardi looked to be home last start before being run down late by one who had significant weight advantage. Looks primed to win now and dropping in the weights will only suit him. The slight rise to the mile is also a positive and he’s one of the few horses in this race who is bringing in any sort of form.

Flemington Race 7
(5) It’sourtime looks one of the better bets anywhere today. Was a big win last start with 60kg against a pretty strong field. Has been kept pretty fresh since that run and comes here today dropping 1kg. Will enjoy 1200m and is 1 from 1 2nd up while he has a good record up the Flem straight. Think he should be a bit shorter than what he is now and looks a good bet.
Gold Coast Race 6
Going off the beaten track for this one but (2) Axe looks close to a proper M word here on the Goldy today. Absolutely flies fresh and progressed through the grades nicely last prep. Looked good at a recent trial, loves racing here, barrier 6 should be fine and 1200m is his best distance. I just think he is better than this lot and if you can get black figures I would be taking it and anchoring multis with him all day.
