Horse Racing Tips: Friday, September 27th
Scone Race 2 (Market)
(8) Dreaming Of Gold has been to the races twice for two second’s, she debuted at Tamworth late last month and after beginning poorly, she settled well back before running on hard in what has proven a good form reference. She then went to Tuncurry a fortnight ago, again was slowly away before finding a passage through them and again just missed. She lookks to have a stack of ability and the inside alley looks the only down side. She has not begun well at both starts, she will need to improve that today. The interesting runner in the race is the debutant from powerhouse local trainer Paul Messara (5) Melik. He has had five trials leading into this debut, two of them this prep and he has looked good in both of them. I expect they will back both these horses, monitor betting throughout the morning and try to pounce at the right time.

Scone Race 5 (Market)
(5) Royal Eclipse has not missed a place at her 6 career starts, spreading the love with 2 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds. She makes her own luck up on the speed, last start at Newcastle in an easier BM58 she sat behind the leaders before looming up but really struggled to get past. She showed toughness to stick with it and eventually got the better and was doing the best on the line. She draws well again here and should be able to be one of the horses controlling the tempo, this doesn’t look much harder, if she does get the front maybe another go in the run?
Goulburn Race 5 (Market)
I was originally keen on Bollywood but he's since been scratched from the race, which leaves me with (4) Corcra on top form the in-form Bjorn Baker stable. He debuted here last start and was backed as if there was no settling, would have traded short in the run but just found one better. With race experience under the belt he should improve and if that's the case, he should take some beating despite drawing wide.
