Harness racing expert Trent Orwin has taken a close look at meetings around the country for Saturday February 9th, and plucked out his best bets of the evening for you from Albion Park, Globe Derby and Melton.
Albion Park Harness Tips
RACE 1
This looks a suitable race for Bundaburra who has been placed in all three starts back from a spell. The nine-year-old gelding has the second row to contend with, but his form looks very strong for this event. Maretti was far too good for rivals last start which is what was expected to happen. Bundaburra finished strongly down the outside to run second in a 27.9 last quarter.
Two starts ago Bundaburra worked forward to sit outside the leader and battled on strongly to run second in 1:55.2 for the 2138m. He should be put into the race here and could prove too strong late.

RACE 7
The South Australian Pacing Cup may not be a Group 1 race anymore, but this year’s edition of the Group 2 feature looks competitive. Egodan joins Matthew Craven who will also take the reins behind the seven-year-old gelding. Last start he never got clear running in the race won by Utmost Delight.
Go back four starts and you will see Egodan chasing home his then stablemate Tiger Tara who is Australasia’s best horse. He was then fifth behind Tiger Tara and Maximan in the Group 3 Brian Hancock Cup (1609m). There could be some pressure over the 2645m in this race and that will benefit Egodan who will sit back and come with one run.

RACE 4
Majestic Player has won four of six this season, with his biggest blemish coming in the Hamilton Trotters Cup when breaking. He was a comfortable T5+ winner at $1.10 odds last time when defeating Kyvalley Barney and Variance.
If he can find the lead from barrier four tonight, he will take some catching as he has shown in recent starts. It is a class rise for the four-year-old but he can step up and continue on his winning ways.
