We are back this week with another slate of Wednesday night Greyhound betting tips! Today we take a look at the great slate of races at Cannington this Wednesday, the 20th of February and give our best bets below.
Cannington Greyhound Tips
Race 1
Tavata looks very hard to beat in the opening race tonight. He has won once and been placed twice more from just the four career starts. Box three looks good because he will go close to crossing Just Her Best at the start, and from there he would be the likely winner. I am prepared to forgive last start’s failure from box eight when never in the hunt. This looks a more suitable assignment and he will give a good account of himself tonight.
Race 3
The numbers look really good for Who’s Got Subi in this event and with even luck she can break her duck at start number seven. She has been a bridesmaid with three consecutive runner-up performances but tonight might be the night. She continues to post times that should see her a few lengths superior to rivals.
Race 5
It’s A Diamond should have the early speed to match Serg’s Girl and if she comes out on even terms there is no question she can run down that greyhound. Getting a jump on Willie Gundi and Zabeeka will be more important as they can run similar time to It’s A Diamond. This is a class drop compared to last start for It’s A Diamond who ran fifth behind Feelin’ Alright in a Puppy Classic Heat. Expect her to run a big race.
Race 7
A very competitive FFA race and this should be a highlight on the program. Exonerated and Issue can both show box speed which is what we saw last week. Issue got checked and that was the end of his chances, while Exonerated would run second behind Ripple Ryder. I’m happy to side with Issue out in box eight; he has won seven from 15 in the pink rug and if he can avoid trouble then he will be fighting out the finish. Plenty of respect for Ouchamp who has strong claims also.
Race 8
Bushman’s Valley is the odds-on favourite and comes up with box one. I think he is under the odds though and Lady Zellweger looks ready to win. She has been placed at her past three starts and her early speed suggests she will go close to being ahead of Bushman’s Valley in the run. The $4.50 on offer is definitely value in this race.
