The track will be Good and the first of 10 is at 12:20pm (AEDT), and Brendan Bunworth has you covered with his best bets below!
Cranbourne Racing Tips: Saturday, November 23rd 2024
Race 2: Hertz Robin Daley Classic – 12:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Mount Rinjani came from midfield to win at The Valley last start and that was on a Good track which he gets again here. Nolen stays on and if the horse jumps better he can position up a bit closer in this. Barrier 9 might suit as he did make a long sustained run around the field last time and will likely be on the outside again.
(2) King Of Enterprise may be next to Mount Rinjani during the run on its inside but may need luck down the straight. He was plain last start but won well on the Heavy before that at Pakenham.
(3) Verona Rupes may lead them a long way from the inside barrier. Caulfield Cup winning jockey Harry Coffey stays on.
(1) Mount Rinjani

Race 9: Ladbrokes Cranbourne Cup – 5pm (AEDT)
(11) Globe led but was no match for Light Infantry Man in the Chester Manifold at Flemington two weeks ago and will be stronger from that effort. He has dropped another half kilo and he will roll forward again for Ethan Brown. When he was third up last prep he scored the win and he is proven over this distance.
(9) It’s A Wild Night will stay in Australia to race if he can Place in this according to connections and reports are he is racing and working very well in New Zealand. Blake Shinn spent a week at the stable last week and has sat on top already. He has a lightweight on his back which can only help during the run.
(6) Banker’s Choice hasn’t been racing well but is one of the fittest horses in the race. He has drawn wide (12) and with luck will be running on at the end at huge odds. He was just fair on Oaks Day but he was stuck in traffic.
(11) Globe Each-Way
$6.00/$2.20 (1 Unit)
Race 10: Freeway Ford Shooting Stars – 5:40pm (AEDT)
(8) Oh Too Good for Kevin Daffy won easily for Lane on Geelong Cup Day and then was unlucky not to win on Oaks Day at Flemington. He will likely sit in the top 3 again and he should be too good for this field (pardon the pun). He was $2.00 earlier in the week but the even money was snapped up within hours which suggests he oozes talent. Lane stays on.
(1) Russian Meteor won well at Caulfield two starts back after coming from midfield. A Good track suits here. Nolen rides for the first time.
(2) Vail Mountain hasn’t placed in his last three starts but he hasn’t been beaten far at all. He has been a bit unlucky too and the distance increase looks ideal. Will appreciate barrier 5 here after drawing 10 and 11 the last couple.
(8) Oh Too Good
