AFL St Kilda vs Adelaide Betting Tips
Cazaly’s Stadium, Saturday 7.25pm (AEST)
Both the Saints and Crows are absolutely desperate for a win here to keep their seasons alive, which one will come away with the four points on Saturday night?
Match Prediction
The Saints were gallant in Round 12, taking it right to the Swans and arguably looking the better side for the majority of the game, it was kicking at goal that let them down as it has on multiple occasions this season. Jack Higgins kicked 1.6 while the Saints amassed 11 behinds in the loss in a game that was crucial for their top eight chances.
It was a very similar story in the Crows game. They had 23 scoring shots to just 18 for the Magpies but still finished with a five point loss on the road. Taylor Walker was the main culprit, booting 2.6 as the Crows fell to 15th place on the ladder.
The Saints injury list is starting to become a massive concern. They are already without Jake Carlise, Jade Gresham, Dan Hannebery, Zak Jones, Rowan Marshall, Ben Paton and Shaun McKernan and to make matters worse, co-captain Jarryn Geary and Mason Wood went down with injuries in the loss to the Swans.
It’ll be tough for the Saints to win this one with the amount of injuries they have, but they absolutely have to if they have any hopes of playing finals this year. They have a horror stretch of games coming up, with matchups against the Tigers, Lions, Power, Eagles over the next five weeks.
The Saints start as slight favourites here and I like them to win up in Cairns. They were impressive when the pandemic forced teams into QLD hubs last season and if they can recapture a glimmer of that form, they should be good enough to beat a struggling Crows side.

Considering he had 7 scoring shots on the weekend, we like Jack Higgins chance to kick at least one goal this week against the Crows. He has kicked 17 goals in 12 games this season. Shane McAdam is in a similar mould to Higgins. McAdam has kicked 19 goals in 11 games this season and booted two against the Magpies last week. Our last leg is Jack Steele to have 25 touches or more. The Saints co-captain averages 26.8 touches per game this season and had 31 and a goal against the Swans last week.
