AFL North Melbourne vs GWS Betting Tips
Blundstone Arena, Sunday 3.20pm (AEST)
The Roos and Giants both had the bye in Round 12 so will be coming into this clash fresh and rejuvenated, which is a welcome sign given the injury issues they have suffered this season.
Match Prediction
The Roos were gallant once again in in Roudn 11 but ultimately not good enough to get the four points against the Saints. There are definitely some promising signs at times for the Roos but their problem at the moment is stringing together multiple quarters of strong football.
The Giants were in the midst of a bit of a purple patch, having won five of their last seven games before they were absolutely trounced by the Lions at the Gabba. While the Giants certainly didn’t play well in that game, it was also a case of wrong place, wrong time as they ran into a Lions outfit that was untouchable at the time. I expect them to be better this week against the bottom of the ladder Roos.
The Giants are still without some of their key players in the likes of Stephen Coniglio, Jesse Hogan, Harry Perryman, Lachie Keefe and Sam Taylor. They will, however, get Toby Greene back from a shoulder injury this week, which will be a huge boost to their forward line.
The Roos are still ravaged by injury, but there is a little to look forward to this week as Robbie Tarrant will come into the line-up for his first game of the year, while they should also get Jaidyn Stephenson and Kyron Hayden back.
I think the Giants ar eproabbly too strong down in Tasmania on the back of the bye. The week off probably did them a few more favours than it did for the Roos, with some injury prone players in the likes of Josh Kelly, Toby Greene and Lachie Whitfield getting some rest in the legs. Back them to cover the 19.5 point spread here. They have won two of their last three games against the Roos at Blundstone by an average margin of 32.5 points.

Same Game Multi
For the reasons we mentioned above, GWS to win this game will be the first leg of our multi and a pretty good anchor leg at $1.33. Josh Kelly has surpassed the 25 disposal mark in his last five games on the trot and the last time he faced the Roos in full length quarters he had 35. Toby Greene will come into this Giants outfit and instantly be the focal point of the forward line. Unlike earlier in the year when he had to pinch-hit in the midfield, the Giants have come cavalry back in the guts now, so Greene won’t be needed in there come Sunday.
