The three game Super Saturday slate in the AFL continues from 4.35pm as the Crows host the Magpies from Adelaide Oval. As always, PuntingInDanger has you covered with his full preview and AFL Round 12 tips for the clash below.
AFL Adelaide vs Collingwood Betting Tips
Adelaide Oval, Saturday 4.35pm (AEST)
The Crows and Magpies sit in 15th and 16th place on the AFL ladder respectively but are separated by two full games. Regardless, both are desperate for wins to keep their season alive, which should make this an interesting clash.
Match Prediction
There’s not a whole lot of hype surrounding this clash between two of the bottom teams in the competition, but I actually think it could turn out to be one of the better games of the weekend. There is a bit of rain forecast in the Adelaide area on the weekend, so I think the slightly sloppier conditions should keep it pretty close.
Despite a couple of glaring absentees, these two teams injury lists look pretty good at the moment. Adelaide will be without Matt Crouch, Tom Lynch, Daniel Talia and Wayne Milera while the Pies are missing a few players of similar calibre in the likes of Taylor Adams, Jeremy Howe and star ruckman Brodie Grundy.
The Pies have won their last three games in a row against the Crows, with all three of those wins coming at Adelaide Oval. The average margin of those wins was 46.0 points, but they come into their 2021 matchup with contrasting form and a much different outlook on their prospects for the season.
These two teams are much more aligned in the stages of their development now, so I don’t think this one blows out to a margin quite in the vicinity of 46 points in either direction, especially considering the weather forecast in Adelaide. I think this one will be a closely contested battle from start to finish with plenty of stoppages and potential for multiple lead changes. Back the ‘any other result’ in the wire to wire market.

Same Game Multi
Opting for a bit of a juicy leg accompanied by two safer legs for our same game multi at Sportsbet for this game. The first leg is Shane McAdam to kick 2+ goals. I think it will be a day more suited to small forwards with a bit of rain around, and McAdam has kicked multiple goals in 5/10 games this season. Will also be desperate to bounce back after not having a single kick last week against the Tigers.
The safer legs are Rory Sloane and Steele Sidebottom both to have 20+ possessions. Sloane should do this in his sleep in wet weather as one of the few players in the league that gets better the wetter it gets. Sloane has got 20+ in all but one game this season and Sidebottom is yet to have fewer than 20.
