We hit on 2/3 of our best bets in the Bundesliga last weekend to make it 5/6 since play resumed. We now turn our attention to the upcoming weekend where Matchday 30 is on the cards. Check out our best bets from some of the key games below and good luck to everyone following!
Bundesliga Matchday 30
Freiburg vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Saturday 4:30am AEST
Freiburg have been unable to find their feet since play has resumed and have secured just two points from four games (0-2-2) as a result. They looked a good thing to push for top six this campaign after their hot start, but three wins from their past 17 fixtures just isn’t good enough and they now look destined for a mid-table finish.
Borussia Monchengladbach were simply far too good for Union Berlin in their meeting last weekend and ended up really comfortable winners at home (4-1). It was a much-needed three points for a side that is desperately hoping to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League in 2021.
Monchengladbach have been solid in their four games back (2-1-1) with their only loss coming against the red-hot Bayer Leverkusen. This weekend they find themselves up against one of the worst form teams in the competition, so we expect them to be able to navigate the win and retain third spot on the ladder.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich
Saturday 11:30pm AEST
Bayer Leverkusen were able to bounce back from a bizarre mid-week loss to secure all three points against Freiburg on the weekend. That win was their third since play resumed (3-0-1) and has them right in contention for a top four finish. Impressively, Bayer have now won 15 of their past 18 fixtures and seem to be getting better and better as the season progresses.
Bayern Munich took no time at all to hit their straps post-hiatus and have banged in five goals on two occasions already from just four games (4-0-0). A crucial 1-0 win over rivals Borussia Dortmund a week or so ago has given them some genuine breathing room at the top of the ladder and they now look destined for yet another league title.
These are arguably the two form teams of the league coming into this weekend, which should make for an absolute cracking match regardless of the empty stadium. Bayer Leverkusen are the obvious underdogs against the champs, however, they’ve won the past two league meetings against them and will come into this full of confidence as a result. This is an important match for both teams but the odds available for Bayer Leverkusen to snag at least a point are too good to refuse.

Augsburg vs FC Koln
Monday 2am AEST
Augsburg were no match for the in-form Hertha Berlin last start in a 2-0 defeat where they didn't look threatening nearly often enough. They also made it back to back games without a goal, which certainly isn't a new problem for them. Going back two matchdays they were impressive 3-0 winners against Schalke, so it hasn’t all been doom and gloom in their four games back from the hiatus (1-1-2).
FC Koln were in some really nice form before the big break with wins in three of their four games leading in; however, they’re yet to find their rhythm in the four games they’ve played post-break (0-2-2) and are now toiling away in mid-table. Defence has been of concern for the most part of the season, particularly across the past five games where they’ve conceded a combined 13 goals.
Neither club comes into this fixture with great form, although the H2H count suggests that Augsburg should have the advantage here. They’re undefeated in their last 10 games against FC Koln (5-5-0) and have only conceded five goals to them during that stretch. Simply, Augsburg look like the really good value play here.
