A 3-0 day in MLB betting tips last Thursday keeps us perfect in the season so far with a 5-0 record. We’ll look to stay unbeaten as we preview some of the key games of the day this Thursday, the 3rd of May below!
Kansas City Royals at Boston Red Sox (3.05am AEST)
The Red Sox have continued their winning ways throughout the last week, and currently hold a league equal best 21-8 record through the opening month of the season. They have been dominant at home currently holding a 10-4 record and have a +62-run difference so far this season.
Drew Pomeranz will be on the mound for the Sox on Thursday morning after recently returning from the long tern injury list. Pomeranz was fairly average in both of his two starts since returning but has the pedigree to return to form at Fenway Park.
He’ll be up against Danny Duff of the Royals Thursday, who was average in his last start on Friday against the White Sox. He gave up four runs through his six innings and has an 0-3 record with a 5.40 ERA so far this season. Boston start as heavy favourites at home and we can’t see it going any other way.

New York Yankees at Houston Astros (10.10am AEST)
After winning last season’s World Series, the Astros have made their intentions to go back to back clear early in the season. Not only did they add another valuable starting pitcher in Gerrit Cole, their bats have continued their dominant form from last season, helping them to a 20-11 record to start the season.
Dallas Keuchel will be on the mound for the Astros Thursday morning, and while his current record reads just 1-4 through his first few starts, he has been better than his record suggests and was decent in his last start, retiring the first 13 bats he faced.
Yankees starter Luis Severino has been ultra-impressive so far this season with a 4-1 record and a 2.61 ERA. He was great in his last start, unfortunately taking a no decision, and with the Yankees having split the two games in Houston so far this series, we think they can pinch another on the back of Severino.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Arizona Diamondbacks (11.40am AEST)
Great National League matchup here as the 21-8 Diamondbacks host the Dodgers on Thursday morning. The Diamondbacks are tied with Boston for the best record in the league and will have Zach Godley on the mound on Thursday. Godley has started his fourth season in the majors in good fashion with a 4-1 record and will be looking to add to that on home Thursday.
LA haven’t been as good as they would have liked to start the season, however, they are still in the mix with a 12-17 record. They are one of the only teams with a losing record to have a positive run difference, so it’s safe to say they have had some unlucky outings to date.
They will have their most consistent starter on the mound on Thursday in Hyun-Jin Ryu, who has a 3-0 record and a 2.22 ERA through his first starts of the season. We like the Dodgers to cause an upset away from home here.
