The 2017 MLB season continues this Tuesday, the 30th of May and we preview some of the key games of the day below including the ESPN televised Detroit Tigers at Kansas City Royals below.
Detroit Tigers at Kansas City Royals (9.15am AEST ESPNHD)
Detroit visit Kansas on Tuesday morning for the first of three games. Detroit will be hoping to seal the victory in this one, as the White Sox got the better of the Tigers in the four game series. Left arm pitcher Daniel Norris gets the nod for Tuesdays game as he tries to secure win number four. Norris pitched six innings against Houston last game giving up two runs in a strong performance. Detroit are 11-17 on the road this season and are ranked 23rd in the league for allowing over five runs per game.
The Royals have been producing the goods lately and are 5-5 in the last ten. Over the weekend they claimed the series over the Indians despite being outplayed in game three of the series losing 10-1. Pitching has been an issue for Kansas as they bring in Jason Hammel for this one. Hammel has been better of late but has a 1-6 record and an ERA of 5.98 that tells you he needs to be better.

Tampa Bay Rays at Texas Rangers (10.05am AEST)
Tampa heads to Texas for the Memorial Day clash. The Rays are 6-4 in the last ten and are stringing together some victories to keep in touch with the leaders in their division. The Rays give Erasmo Ramirez the ball to start against the Rangers, he is 3-0 for the year and in the last game allowed two runs on four hits. The Rays have some big quality hitters and are ranked 2nd in the league for home runs.
Texas have been lacking consistency in the past week, dropping the last two series over the Red Sox and the Blue Jays. The Rangers are a solid home team this season with an 16-8 but on the road things are the opposite. The Rangers start lefty Martin Perez who is 2-5 for the year and an ERA of 3.77. The Rangers have the edge over the Rays at home but have lacked this year against teams in the East winning 1-5 this season.

Los Angeles Dodgers at St Louis Cardinals (4.15am AEST)
The Dodgers are one of the hottest teams in the league and have won the last three straight. The Dodgers are 31-20 for the year and are second in the NL West behind the Rockies. L.A had an impressive series win over the Cubs over the weekend, sweeping the series and keeping the Cubs to only four home runs over three games. The Dodgers bring Rich Hill for the contest, he pitched last Wednesday against the Cardinals allowing a season high five runs.
St Louis have lost the last two series over the Dodgers early in the week and to the Rockies over the weekend. The Cardinals are 3-7 in the last ten and haven't been so convincing at home. They start Mike Leake who had a dominant performance over the Dodgers last week. St Louis will need the same type of game if they are to take down a Dodgers unit.
TIP: LA Dodgers H2H - $2.05 at Ladbrokes
