Group 3 Bauhinia Sprint down the straight headlines this Sha Tin card which is exciting from start to finish. There are a few good propositions from a betting perspective which i’ve tipped below. Good luck!
Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday January 7th
Race 2: Lei Muk Shue Hcp (C4) - 1200m (15:30 AEST)
(9) Silver Destiny will get a great run on the inside from barrier 1 here and should have every possible chance on debut if he’s good enough. Keen to see how he can perform at a nice e/w price.
(5) Bowser is also on debut and should get a similar run to the top pick just off the rail. He’s also going to have a good e/w chance here.
(8) Patch Of Theta has 1 race behind him which should help him hugely with experience. He’s drawn poorly but with some luck can win this.
(9) Silver Destiny e/w
$11/$3.3 (1 unit)
Race 7: The Bauhinia Sprint Trophy (Group 3) - 1000m (18:05 AEST)
(1) Victor The Winner is the best horse in this race by some margin. He’s been going toe to toe with Lucky Sweynesse lately and finds an easier race here down the straight.
(8) Invincible Sage has a huge weight advantage on the top weight in this but will probably need it to win given the gap in ability which the two horses have shown to date.
(3) Duke Wai is a straight track expert with 8 attempts for 3 wins and 4 other minor placings. He should be right in it again here.
(1) Victor The Winner e/w
$4.40/$1.80 (2 units)
Race 10: Butterfly Hcp (C2) - 1600m (19:50 AEST)
(5) Helios Express is one of the more exciting horses on the up at the moment in Hong Kong. He’s racing here after a freshen up since early December where he suffered a tough run from a wide draw and couldn’t continue his winning streak. Better chance to return to the winner’s stall today.
(7) Dancing Code is consistent but has struggled to win lately. The case may be the same here from a wide draw against the quality of this favourite but he’s a danger.
(1) Super Sunny Sing is also poorly drawn and has struggled his last few to keep up his elite form from prior runs. If he finds that form he’s right in this and is good value at an e/w price.
(5) Helios Express win
$2.60 (2 units)
