Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday February 26th
Race 4
(7) Around The Globe debuts here and has shown good ability in his lead up trials. I’m expecting a bold performance from the horse and he’s given the indication he’s capable of winning a race early in his career. He’s drawn well and this isn’t an incredibly strong race so he should get his chance.
(10) Trust Me has finally drawn well with gate 2 this time. He’s right in this race and absolutely loves racing over this trip. He’s a great price and could be worth having something e/w.
(3) Brave Dreams is the favourite and drawn well in gate 1. I don’t trust the horse completely as he seems to lack conviction in his racing and can get himself into difficult positions mid-race. Still has to be considered a main chance.
(7) Around The Globe e/w
$5.50/$2.30 (1 unit)
Race 6
(7) Thunderboltaurus performed like a horse that’s going to win plenty of races last start. He was ok on debut but improved noticeably into his last start storming home to just miss. He’s drawn well here and with expected further improvement, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
(3) Blissful Star finally broke through for an elusive win last time out. He can continue that improvement in form here under Karis Teetan who seemed to get absolutely everything out of this horse last time.
(2) Unpresuming is still relatively new to racing but was able to win by a narrow margin last time when 2nd up. He’s got a big weight and a tough barrier to contend with but if he is on the receiving end of some luck he can win.
(7) Thunderboltaurus win
$2.80 (2 units)
Race 10
(4) Naboo Legend is a great price in this event after not performing as expected last time. Blake Shinn takes over now and the horse can bounce back and produce a performance similar to his run 2 starts ago where he missed by only 0.5 lengths.
(13) Golden Artie is working towards a win slowly. Gate 1 and Silvestre De Sousa should go a long way to getting this horse his deserved win but it is a competitive race and he is quite short in the market.
(5) Beauty Missile is drawn neutrally for Zac Purton and was great on debut in Hong Kong running 2nd with blinkers on. If he improves slightly off that 1st up performance he could be hard to beat here as favourite.
(4) Naboo Legend e/w
$19/$4.5 (0.5 units)
