Sale Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 11th 2023
Race 3: Growmaster Sale maiden Plate - 2:10pm (AEDT)
(7) Naval Destroyer resumes for the Moody & Coleman stable but will be fit enough after having 4 recent jumpouts. The son of Merchant Nacy has the ability to run fast times and is a front runner so he should get every chance first up. Aaron Lynch takes the ride and will be looking to impress to stable in his first ride.
(6) Mr. Trafficanti has drawn well in 3 and he should be fitter third up for the Bedgood team. He has placed on the Heavy previously and gets a good jockey here (Mertens).
(8) Opalson won a jumpout on September 27 and has placed on Soft ground. Doesn’t like dry tracks.
(10) Wambeen won a Cranbourne trial on September 11 and may like a wet track.
(7) Naval Destroyer - Win
$3.40 (2 Units)
Race 4: Middle of Everywhere Maiden Plate - 2:45pm (AEDT)
(10) Dulcet ran on quite well at Bendigo over 1300m last start and he has shown previously that he can run well on a Heavy track. Mertens is on and the son of Eminen is pretty versatile so it won’t matter too much where he ends up in the run. Has placed in both runs.
(9) Aki has drawn wide (12) but was backed into $1.90 on debut at Donald.
(6) Impact a lot gets the blinkers on for the first time but has drawn wide in barrier 11.
(5) Highly Likely will be up on pace early and her 2nd at Geelong was very good at 16-1. Might be value again.
(10) Dulcet - Win
$2 (3 Units)
Race 6: No 1 Car Wash/Coffee Pit Handicap - 3:55pm (AEDT)
(4) Takara is back in class here and should get a nice run in transit. The rise in distance should be ideal. She has placed second up previously and has placed before on the Heavy. She settled a bit too far back at Hillside last start and will get a better run here from a better barrier (8). She was also in the wrong part of the track last time and will appreciate getting cover and a good run in from the 400m.
(6) Pride of Galway goes good on wet ground and did make up late ground at Cranbourne last start (5th).
(9) First Commandment is fresh and has McDougall onboard for Lloyd Kennewell. Improvement is expected.
(10) Wanda’s Outlaw has drawn wide in 14 but does have good closing sectionals.
(4) Takara - Win
$3.20 (2 Units)
Race 7: Growmaster Sale Sprinters Series Heat 2 - 4:30pm (AEDT)
(7) Rich Lover drops back in distance and may lead here. It's his first try on the Heavy and it may be a slow paced race which will suit his front running style. With the scratching of the favourite, Rhys McLeod will be confident of another forward showing similar to that when she won at Pakenham (4.75L) in August.
(9) Regal Zeus has won at Sale before and resumes for John McCardle. Finished just behind rich Lover in a recent trial.
(4) Red Hawk is 1 from 1 on the Heavy and the Huglin team are training well at the moment. Mertens rides and he is also in form. Settled too far back at Moe last time.
(8) Esseffninety draws wide but has run good times previously. First go on the Heavy.
(7) Rich Lover - Win
$3.60 (2 Units)
