Keen on this meeting at Rosehill on Saturday apart from the weather looking quite ominous. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see leaders favoured by the conditions so keep that in mind when doing the form.

Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday January 20th 2024
Race 3: Midway (Bm72) - 1200m (13:40 AEDT)
(8) Gently Rolled looks hard to beat here. Lead up trials were quiet but the mare went out for a spell last prep having dominated throughout her 5 runs. Jmac is on here and she’ll be ready to return to the winner’s stall.
(9) Oakfield Mahogany is a nice e/w price given the draw and the spot he maps to get on the speedmap.
(13) Field Wiri is an underrated mare and could surprise in this race at big odds. I wouldn’t back her with any real confidence but I’d argue she’s overpriced here.
(8) Gently Rolled

Race 4: Rosehill Bowling Club (Bm88) - 1200m (14:15 AEDT)
(4) Time To Boogie has complete dominion over this market and should have complete dominion over the race too. He’ll lead from the inside draw and prove unbelievably hard to run down here. No prizes for finding him but good odds booster for multis.
(7) Sneaky Paige might be able to sneak her way into the finish at a nice price given the small field and the fact that she clearly handles the wet better than some of this field.
(8) Stromboli is the obvious danger to the favourite drawn in gate 2 and looking as though he’ll settle on the leader’s back.
(4) Time To Boogie

Race 7: Chandon (Bm88) - 1400m (15:00 AEDT)
(5) Danaustar looks the high percentage play in this race. He clearly prefers wet going, gets that here and will lead the race easily. It’s a tougher grade but he sets up well and has been in electric form of late.
(2) Excelladus is the one that I’d be favouring to run down the leader (if that ends up happening). He won easily last time and carries more weight but handles wet ground and is only 4th up.
(7) Powerful Peg could end up being the nicest horse out of this field. She’s only raced 15 times and does look to have some ability up the sleeve. Only 2nd up here as well.
