Esports Betting Tips: Monday, July 27th
Selectah vs Excellency
Nine to Five 2
Selectah are a newly formed team spearheaded by former Natus Vincere player Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev along with a former QBF/Winstrike player Saviq "jmqa" Bragin, who teamed up with unknown talents like jL, tappa and Raven.
Excellency, on the other end, are a team that has been around for a while, and unlike Selectah have a few games on their record. Excellency have won only two games from their last five against Lilmix and Orgless5, but lost to HONORIS, Wizards and CR4ZY. Their record shows only 33.3% win rate across the past three months, which worries me a bit, since they are facing a motivated team that will be eager to start their journey with a win.
While Excellency are not exactly a strong team, they set to meet a team that is assembled mostly from unknown and unproven talent. The only two players on Selectah, who have a few games under their record are jmqa and jL, but even they managed a rather poor 0.81 and 0.69 HLTV rating respectively.
Nevertheless, I can’t look past the fact that Excellency recently lost to Wizards and HONORIS, and if a team fails to defeat opponents of such calibre, I would not feel comfortable putting my money on them. With these odds, trusting Edward to prepare his roster to produce an upset is a far better bet to take. Value bet on Selectah!
ALTERNATE aTTaX vs CR4ZY
Nine to Five 2
Both ALTERNATE aTTaX and CR4ZY won three games out of the last five played. ALTERNATE aTTaX defeated Syman, Hard Legion and CR4ZY but lost to FATE and Gambit Youngsters. CR4ZY, meanwhile, picked a convincing win against HONORIS, but somewhat struggled against AVEZ and NaVi Junior, and lost to Moscow Five Academy and LDLC.
CR4ZY's most recent two losses concern me a bit since LDLC and Moscow Five Academy are not exactly strong teams and it leads me to believe CR4ZY are not quite ready to hang out with the big teams yet.
ALTERNATE aTTaX have already defeated CR4ZY during the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 3 without any significant problems (16-7, 16-4). The trio of Sabit "mirbit" Coktasar, Marko "kressy" Đorđević and Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich had an amazing performance that day with 1.66, 1.54 and 1.37 HLTV rating respectively. On the side of CR4ZY, only Dmitriy "SENSEi" Shvorak looked somewhat decent with 35 frags and 1.04 HLTV rating.
The Germans have been looking very sharp throughout the last couple of weeks and we can be confident they won’t settle for anything less than a 2-0 win against the shaky Ukrainians. ALTERNATE aTTaX to win 2-0!

SG.pro vs Izako Boars
Nine to Five 2
SG.pro have lost all of their last five games against the likes of Syman, Hard Legion, ALTERNATE aTTaX, forZe and HellRaisers. It goes without saying SG-pro are in terrible form and have been for a while since they won only 43.5% of their matches across the last three months.
Izako Boras, however, are in even worse form with a poor 36.8% win rate across the last three months, but they have at least managed to defeat lvlUP not long ago, which should serve as a massive morale boost ahead of this bout.
SG.pro and Izako Boars last met about a month ago during the Nine to Five 1 Dawn, where Izako Boars produced a comfortable 2-0 victory (16-10, 16-10). Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek was the best player on the server that day with a total of 44 frags along with a high 1.29 HLTV rating. On the side of SG.pro, only Artyom "kise" Glebkin came away from the match with a positive rating (1.02) and 33 frags.
Since neither side is in great form, I have a hard time understanding why Izako Boars are priced as such big underdogs. Sure, they are worse ranked than SG.pro, but this match seems more like a 50/50. While picking up a winner, I can’t justify putting my money on a team that lost 0-2 against the current roster of HellRaisers, so the decision is obvious! Value bet on Izako Boars to win!
Illuminar vs Tikitakan
Nine to Five 2
Illuminar are arguably the best Polish team, which is not a huge achievement since Polish CS’s quality has declined, but it’s at least achievement of sorts. Illuminar have also recently won the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 3 with five straight victories against the likes of Gambit Youngsters, Singularity, AVEZ, Hard Legion and FATE without dropping a single map.
Tikitakan have played only seven matches since their inception at the start of the month. They lost to sAw and Secret, but managed to pick up five wins against GamerLegion, Lyngby Vikings, Sangal, Brute and Winstrike. It’s also fair to mention Tikitakan recently signed two new players to their core and have since played only three games together. This is obviously not ideal for their synergy and is particularly not promising when facing a well-organized team like Illuminar.
Even though Tikitakan have recorded a few solid victories in their short history, they have also completely rebuilt their roster, so we can throw their previous record out of the window. If we draw a line, Illuminar are far better prepared for this match and while they underperformed against LDLC in their most recent match, defeating the new-look Tikitakan should be an easy task for them. Bet on Illuminar to win 2-0!
