Tuesday in Australian horse racing is throwing up some interesting country meets and Luke Krahe is back on deck to preview some of his favourite races of the day. Today, Luke focuses in on the meets in Seymour, Ballina and Wagga for his best bets.
Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday July 14th
Seymour Race 1 - (Market)
(12) Ryan’s Girl has been a good SP profile, that is one way to look at it, the other is that she is still a maiden after 7 starts and has been costly for the punters, beaten when in the market at her last four starts. I am going with the former and the half glass full approach, she has shown she can handle the wet tracks so that should not be an issue. She was at Moe almost three weeks ago and was solid in the betting starting at $4.60 favourite, she got back worse than mid-field in the run and was held-up until the furlong before easing wider and running on well into second. She was also featured in the steward's report with the thumps post-race. This is no harder and stepping up in trip looks to suit.
Seymour Race 7 - (Market)
(10) Zizi La File won an easier race to begin this campaign, she has had four runs since with some indifferent results. She placed at two in a row then was at Wangaratta last time starting @ $3.50 favourite. She sat behind the leaders and was only fair in the run home, she gets off the heavy track and back on to a better surface. She gets the blinkers off for the first time, off the inside draw I expect her to be back to her favourite role of trying to lead all the way. She looks a good each-way bet and there should be double figure odds available at some time during the betting.

Ballina Race 2 - (Market)
(6) Tobasco doesn't win out of turn, he has only saluted three times in his career but has placed at another nine. He has good tactical speed and will be trying to find the top, this looks no harder than recent runs. Two starts back at Taree he ran them along at a good clip and looked home before walking the last 50m and was run down late. He had five weeks between runs and stuck at the 1000m, he had to sit outside the leader and stuck on ok but was no match for the winner. He will have the advantage early over his main rivals and be hard to run down.
Wagga Race 2 - (Market)
(2) Kez is a Danny Williams trained filly having career start number three, she debuted at Albury a month ago on the heavy track. She was back in the run after being slowly away, got to the middle of the track and was running on but just failed to finish it off. She produced the best 800-400m of the race and looked like she would take a lot of improvement from the run. She then had three weeks between runs, came here to Wagga and again had a heavy track to deal with. She was a clear last early and was a real eye-catcher as she got to the middle of the track and run on hard, albeit a little wayward and green. She gets out in trip which looks ideal for her racing pattern, with a better getaway she can position up closer and mow thhem down late.
