2015 Arnold Palmer Invitational
Where: Bay Hill Course, Orlando, Florida
When: Thursday, 19th March (First tee off 10:35pm AEDT)
Purse: $6,300,000
The PGA Tours “Florida Swing” will come to a climactic end in Orlando this weekend with the Arnold Palmer Invitational. This tournament always attracts a blue chip field and this year is no different.
The world’s top five players are all attending and they are no surprise to be the favourites to win it all, although not in the order of their world ranking. Rory as usual gets the honours at (7-1) but Swede Henrik Stenson edges out Bubba Watson for second place at (10-1 vs 14.5-1) even though Bubba is the world number two. This is significant and I believe it’s with good reason.
Golf Betting Tips
Henrik Stenson: 10-1
Stenson has been trending beautifully towards a PGA Tour win. In three events this season he has two top 10’s (t4, 4) and a top 25. Raking in a handy $721,700. Not only is he playing well but he also has a fantastic record at this event with a t5 last year at 9 under par and a t8 in 2013. Yes we are paying a premium for him but we also did the same with Dustin Johnson a couple of weeks ago and it payed dividends.

Sean O’Hair: 55-1
It was great to see Sean O’Hair the big Texan back in form last week making a playoff in the Valspar Championship. He is another player that is no stranger to this week’s Bay Hill course and has been a runner up in years gone by. He shot a great 67 in the final round last year to finish t10. Although I believe it’s Stenson’s week to shine at 60-1 I believe O’Hair is over the odds. This could possibly be a back-and-lay situation depending on Stensons early performance.
