NBA Betting Tips Tuesday 28th of January
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons
11:10am AEDT
The Cavaliers come into this matchup in really poor form and their seven game losing streak is currently the third worst streak in the NBA. They’ve lost their last two games by double digits against fellow struggling Eastern Conference teams (Bulls, Wizards) and have lost each of their last four road games coming into this trip to Detroit.
The Pistons aren’t in the greatest of form themselves having lost their last two games (Nets, Grizzlies); although they were winners three starts back at home to the Kings. It has been a tough season for the Pistons with injuries to key players playing a major part in that, however, they’re still only three games back of the eighth seed and can cut into that with a win here.
The Pistons deserving start as solid favourites here and we’re pretty keen on them winning it comfortably. The Cavaliers have been really poor over the past couple of weeks and we see no reason why they’ll have any success when they head onto the road.
Detroit Pistons -6.5

Orlando Magic @ Miami Heat
11:40am AEDT
The Magic are stumbling towards the All-Star break with losses in five of their past six games. Even more worrying is that their past three games (all losses) have been on their home deck (Clippers, Celtics, Thunder) and they now must hit the road for four of their next five games.
The Heat continue to impress this season despite losing their most recent game to the Clippers (122-117). That loss was just their second at home all season (20-2 record), which is only slightly worse than the Bucks (21-2) who are the best in the business. The Heat are currently third in the East loom as a major player in their conference.
The Magic won this matchup at the start of the year and by a comfortable margin. However, the Heat are a much better team at home and should be able to respond with a win here. Considering the form of both teams, we’re more than happy to be on the Heat to win by 5+ points.
Dallas Mavericks @ OKC Thunder
12:10pm AEDT
The Mavericks have been one of the surprise packets in the West this season and come into this game in some pretty solid form. They put up a great fight away to the Jazz last time out, which made it wins in five of their past seven games. The Mavs are 28-17 on the season and are in fifth spot in the West standings.
The Thunder have also been surprisingly good this season despite parting ways with All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George in the off season. Chris Paul is having another fantastic season and Shai Gilegous-Alexander has transformed into a legitimate scoring threat on a nightly basis. The Thunder are 28-19 on the season and sit in seventh spot in the West standings.
Both of these teams come into this matchup in good form, however, the Thunder have to be favoured to win this at home. They’ve won five games on the spin and were winners by five points when they met the Mavericks earlier this season. All things considered, we believe the Thunder are really nice value at home.
