There's just the two Christmas Eve meetings in Australia, with racing taking place at Wagga and Werribee.

Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday, December 24th
Wagga Race 2 (Market)
It is a little concerning that (6) Almighty Gold has not won a race since his debut back in February but this looks to be the right race for him to get win number two. He gets out to the 2000m for the first time, his last couple of runs have been encouraging. Two back at Wangaratta he was left a little flat footed when they quickened over a mile but stuck to his task well to just miss the placings. He then came here to a harder BM66 over 1800m and was hard in the market. He had a gun run in transit but once again couldn’t quicken when asked, he kept grinding away though running on into second beaten just over half a length. The jock won’t want to turn it into a sit sprint, hopefully he takes off before the turn and makes it a true staying test. If he doesn’t win here today, I doubt you will see him in this column ever again.
Wagga Race 4 (Market)
The Ted Ryder Cup is a mile handicap, the Prelude was held here a couple of weeks ago but only two horses come through it. (6) Wyangle was one of them and he was a brilliant winner of the lead-up after being very easy in the betting. He sat mid-field two wide before showing a nice turn-of-foot at the turn, took over inside the final furlong and bolted in. (9) Upper House is the other horse that comes through the Prelude but actually meets the winner worse at the weights. He was good though coming from a mile back, he will be ridden for luck from the inside alley. He ran on well but will once again give away the tactical advantage, don’t have him going around a loser as this looks the right form line. A couple of them are dropping back from the $100K Wodonga Cup but they are up in the weights and happy to take them on.
Werribee Race 3 (Market)
(5) The Fettler has been to the races three times, he had a 6-week break between his debut and start number two. That was at Kyneton at 100/1, he settled mid-field before sticking to the inside in the run home and making up good ground in a race where it was favourable to be up on the speed. He then went to Echuca last time and got out past the 2000m for the first time. Again, he was big odds and settled back in the field, running on hard through a tiny gap and was hampered close to the line, beaten by the smallest possible margin. He probably should have won the race. Dylan Dunn sticks with the ride, although the SP profile is poor, he has really hit the line hard at his last couple and should only need a genuine tempo.
Werribee Race 4 (Market)
(12) Echo Boomer is a filly from the Patty Payne yard, she has placed at all three times she has been to the races. Sher ran on hard on a heavy track at Hamilton back in May then was sent to the paddock. He resumed at the Bool early in November, got back in the running before attacking the line back along closer to the inside. She then went to 6 furlongs last time and was fairly away but was impeded shortly after the start. She came wide, ran on hard into second to go down by half a length. She was very heavily backed that day and a real eye-catcher, drawn horribly again she will need everything to go right but surely the extra furlong suits her. Look for her late.
