Great little six game slate in the NBA this Tuesday, the 12th of November, headlined by a massive clash between the Raptors and Clippers from 2.30pm.
We have a full preview and betting tips for some of the key games of the day below.
NBA Betting Tips Tuesday November 12th
Dallas Mavericks at Boston Celtics (11.40am AEDT)
The Celtics were dealt a massive blow on Sunday as star forward Gordon Hayward went down with a fractured hand. They’ll have a tough test at home against the Mavericks on Tuesday, who have kicked off the season with a 6-3 record on the back of some solid play from star youngster Luka Doncic.
Doncic is averaging 27.7 points, 10.8 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game and is an early contender for MVP.
There will no doubt be an adjustment period that the Celtics have to get used to without Gordon Hayward in the lineup. The forward was the primary ball handler for the Celtics so that responsibility will fall back on the shoulders of Kemba Walker. Dallas are bottom 10 in the league in terms of points allowed per game, so Walker shouldn’t find it too difficult against a sub-par defence here. Expect his numbers to increase across the board.

Houston Rockets at New Orleans Pelicans (12.10pm AEDT)
The Pelicans picked up just their second win of the season when they defeated the Charlotte Hornets away from home on Sunday. Brandon Ingram continued his great start to the season, compiling 25 points and 9 rebounds in the win, which helped New Orleans out of last place in the Western Conference.
The Rockets are 6-3 on the season and are one of the highest scoring teams in the league, averaging 120.1 points per game. In fact, the Pelicans are not far behind, sitting in firth place with 117.1 points per game.
We dare-say defence won’t be at a premium in this game. When these two teams met back in the first week of the season, they put up a combined 249 points. We think this one goes well over again.
Toronto Raptors at Los Angeles Clippers (2.30pm AEDT)
The game of the day sees Kawhi Leonard facing his old team for the first time as the Clippers host the Raptors in Los Angeles. The Clippers have been solid to start the season, maintaining a 6-3 record through their opening nine games.
With Leonard in the line-up the Clippers are 6-1, having racked up good wins over the likes of the Lakers, Spurs, Jazz and Blazers. There is a small chance that star forward Paul George could return to the line-up on Tuesday, as he is currently listed as a game time decision.
Regardless of George’s status, it should be a tough game for the Raptors away from home. They’ll be without Serge Ibaka, Kyle Lowry and Patrick McCaw all through injury. We think the Clippers win this one comfortably.
