The exciting action continues in Miami as we approach the second and final week of the second ATP Masters 1000 event of the season. With so much prize money and valuable ranking points on offer, just about all of the big guns are competing at the Miami Open.
This event features a 96-strong field, 32 of whom are seeded and were awarded a BYE in the first round. The second round of matches have all now concluded, with a few big guns already out in Alexander Zverev (dftd by Ferrer), Marin Cilic (dftd by Rublev), and Dominic Thiem (dftd by Hurkacz).
With plenty of tennis still to play, we’ve provided our best bets for the second week of action, as well as a few value plays that we’re interested in. Check them all out below and good luck to everyone following!
ATP Miami Open Betting Tips
Miami Open Winner
A couple of key exits from the second and fourth quarters in the draw at Miami means we’re really keen on taking on Quarter 1 to win the title. From Q1 we’ve got the red-hot favourite in Novak Djokovic leading the way. He didn’t have an ideal week at Indian Wells where he was upset in the third round, but he’s a genuine superstar and is the best in the men’s game right now. Also in the quarter we’ve got Canada’s Milos Raonic. He’s enjoying a bounce back year so far and has the firepower to win big tournaments, as does John Isner who’s the other big name here. He’s won all but two of his titles in USA, which shows he loves playing in front of a supportive crowd and clearly plays his best tennis when doing so. Djokovic is the outright favourite to win the tournament at $2, but we like the safety of taking his quarter to win at 30c less odds just in case there’s a big upset.
Winner From Quarter 1
$1.70
Quarter 4 Winner
One of the more open quarters in the draw at Miami is the fourth quarter. The favourite here comes in at $3 in the form of Stefanos Tsitsipas. This seems like a great price in our view, considering he’s one of the only men in this section with proven winning ability on the big stage. He’s been gifted a fairly nice draw with only a couple of obvious threats in his way, those being David Goffin and Denis Shapovalov. The latter enjoyed a solid week at Indian Wells, but is yet to make too much of a splash at major events, while the former is having a poor 2019 campaign to date, but he’s capable of turning around sooner rather than later. All things considered, $3 seems a nice price for the young Greek Freak.
Stefanos Tsitsipas $3.10

Quarter 3 Winner
Quarter 3 is arguably the most stacked of the quarters at the Miami Open. Leading the way as the red-hot favourite to advance here is Roger Federer at $1.40, however, we’re keen to oppose him at those odds. Federer was superb at Indian Wells just over a week ago where he made a run to the final, eventually losing to Dominic Thiem. However, as we’ve seen over the past couple of seasons, Federer is beginning to struggle to back up big weeks and often comes up short against lesser opponents. He was lucky to escape his second round match-up against journeyman Radu Albot where he came from behind to win in three, which we see as another sign of father time starting to catch up with the 37-year-old. For these reasons, we like the value of Kevin Anderson at just over $4. He’s proven he has what it takes to beat Federer on the big stage and is playing some of the best tennis of his life. We’ll also sprinkle a little bit on Daniil Medvedev at $8, which is clearly overs for the skill that the young Russian possesses.
Value: Daniil Medvedev $8
