Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday, February 22nd 2025
Race 4: Ranvet BM78 – 1100m – 2:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Bonita Queen $5.50/$2.10: 4YO who won over this trip/grade first up and then tackled it again second up but had to lug 61.5kg which clearly took its toll over 1200m. Most recently lead in open grade and tired late against much tougher opponents. Less than2L from the winner though. She gets back to 1100m now and back into 78 grade. Osmond to steer claiming 3kg puts him in nicely at the weights and from gate 2 she will be hard to run down.
(4) Boston Rocks $15.00/$3.60: 4YO Gelding who had been racing extremely well and then was disappointing most recently over 1200m. Drops back to 110m and can be forgiven on the previous outing with the runs prior being of good quality. Classy horse who looks a blow out hope.
(12) Polyglot $5.00: Early favourite in the market who must be considered and has a handy little record form the 6 career starts. Maps well and if he can overcome the wide draw he’s a sniff.

$5.50/$2.10 (1U/3U)
Race 8: Hobartville Stakes - 1400m - 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Broadsiding $2.10: 3YO Colt who clearly has the best record on paper with 3 group one wins etched next to his name and he was brave in defeat in a cox plate which adds merit. He has trialled well and is clearly the one to beat, but the price is probably a tad short for me before id like to buy in. One to beat though.
(2) Mayfair $10.00/$2.45: 3YO Colt who has some good form lines from last prep and we were bullish first up, but he got the blows up and ran accordingly. Happy to forgive and expecting improvement now second up. Value pick.
(11) Aeliana $7.00: 3YO Filly who won some nice races last time in and showed a great TOF to do so on all of her runs. I concede that the girls have a poor record over the years in this race, but this filly is clearly talented and will be hitting the line strongly. Light weight and must be considered.
(11) Aeliana
$7.00 (1 Unit)
Race 10: Chandon BM94 - 1100m – 5:55pm (AEDT)
(1) Brudenell $11.00/$3.50: We were on this fella last start and he was strong to the line and got us an each way result. He drops back in class and gets compensated with Osmond in the saddle claiming 3kg which puts him in this nicely. He is rock hard fit and if he can overcome the sticky gate he will be a big sniff. With the hot tempo on paper it should set him up to run over the top late. Each way.
(5) Shezanalister $4.00: 5YO Mare who we tipped last start and she was smashed in the market and ran accordingly. Won well. Must be considered again off that run. Draws well. Fitter again.
(7) Time To Boogie $5.00: 5YO Gelding who has been in the market in most of his recent runs but hasn’t been able to get the chocolates. I appreciate he hasn’t had the best of luck in most outings. Draws well this time round and will be trying to get the lead, so id expect him to be around the mark again and he must be considered.
(1) Brudenell E/W
$11.00/$3.50 (0.5U/1.5U)
