After a couple of near perfect days hitting on 2/3 tips we finally hit on all three of our NBA betting tips on Saturday. We kicked things off early on in the day with the Hornets getting the job done and covering the spread against the Grizzlies. We then found another tight winner with the Celtics covering their spread against the Knicks, before finishing up with the Nuggets easily winning against the Rockets at home.
We now shift our focus to the six game slate on NBA Tuesday and look to continue our great form. Check out our previews and betting tips for the value games of the day and as always, good luck to everyone following!
NBA Betting Tips Tuesday 5th February
Milwaukee Bucks @ Brooklyn Nets (11:30am AEDT)
First up in our NBA Tuesday tips features the Eastern Conference match-up between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets. Interestingly, these teams have only faced each other once this season and it came in Milwaukee. The Bucks won that game by 14 points on their home deck (129-115). The last time they faced each other in Brooklyn was on April 5th 2018 when the Nets won 119-111.
The Bucks come into this game with the best record in the league and a current winning streak that stands at three. They’ve enjoyed a lot of success in the first half of the season and don’t look like slowing down anytime soon with nine wins from their past 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Nets are in some great form of their own. They’ve won seven of their last 10 games and had one of the most successful January’s of any team in the league. They’re currently in sixth spot in the East and will have their first All-Star in quite some time with D’Angelo Russell.
The Bucks come into this as favourites and rightly so, however, the Nets have been brilliant at home over the past month and a bit and will certainly fancy themselves here. We see the 7.5 line as a couple of points too long and are more than happy to back in the Nets to keep it closer than that + potentially cause an upset.
Indiana Pacers @ New Orleans Pelicans (12pm AEDT)
Our second play of the day comes from the intriguing battle between the Indiana Pacers and the New Orleans Pelicans. These teams are yet to face each other in what will be a two-game regular season series. Last season the Pelicans won the two meetings by five and four points respectively.
The Pacers come into this fresh off their first win since star guard Victory Oladipo went down with a season-ending knee injury. It was a much needed win for the Pacers who have looked really poor without their main man. As it stands, they're in fifth spot in the East and will need to keep ticking over the wins to ensure they stay afloat in the top-heavy Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, the Pelicans are going through some injury struggles of their own. Along with the Davis injury/trade request, there’s been a whole host of Pelican players that have been out of action lately. However, they’ve still managed to cover the spread in each of their past three games, and even won as huge underdogs against the Rockets three games ago. The Pelicans are currently in third last spot in the West at 23-30.
The Pelicans have been playing the far better of the two teams here and will have the home court advantage. They’ve had great success over the Pacers in recent times and we expect that to continue with another win at home at juicy odds.
New Orleans Pelicans Win
$1.96
San Antonio Spurs @ Sacramento Kings (2pm AEDT)
Our third and final play from a six game slate on Tuesday comes from the Western Conference duel between the San Antonio Spurs and the Sacramento Kings. These teams have only met once this season, which ended in a five point win to the Kings in Sacramento.
The Spurs find themselves in the midst of a nice little five game win streak and have jumped up to fifth spot in the West as a result. However, four of those five wins have come at home where they’re 22-7 on the season, compared to just 10-13 on the road.
The Kings are also back to winning ways with two victories on the spin. They’re one of many teams in the West that’re going to be fighting for the final couple of playoff spots, meaning each game is vital for them. They’ve been solid at home this season at 16-10 and are currently in ninth spot in the West.
We’re going to be backing in the Kings to snap the Spurs win streak in our tip of the day. The Spurs have been a poor road team for a season and a half now, while the Kings have been electric at home of late. We feel that anything around the $2 mark is great value for the home side.
Sacramento Kings Win
$2.03
