NBA Betting Tips Thursday 15th November
Philadelphia 76ers at Orlando Magic (11am AEDT)
The 76ers are coming off a gritty win against the Heat on Tuesday where they led for most of the game and held off any Heat run that came their way. That took their season record to 9-6 and places them in third position in the Eastern Conference. Joel Embiid continues to plead his case for best big man in the league and is averaging 28 points and 13 rebounds thus far.
The Magic have been hot and cold this season and are coming off a disappointing loss to the Wizards on Tuesday, where they by 10+ points at stages throughout the third quarter. They will have to regroup quickly for their return home on Thursday to host the Sixers.
Thursday’s game is expected to be Jimmy Butlers first for the Sixers in what has been a major talking point in the NBA over the past couple of days. However, we’ve seen time and time again that it always takes time for a superstar to settle into their new team, which is why we see value in a play on the generous Magic line here.
Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards
The Cavaliers are coming off easily their best performance of the season against the Hornets on Wednesday, where they absolutely dominated them from start to finish. Jordan Clarkson (24 points) was impressive off the bench, while Collin Sexton (16 points) continued his good form. Cavaliers new head coach Larry Drew seems to have found a few line-ups that work for his team, as they’ve been far more competitive since his acquisition.
The Wizards were lucky to get out of a hard fought game at home to the Magic on Tuesday. They just don’t seem to be gelling at the moment and are severely underperforming on their pre-season expectations. They currently sit in 11th position in the Eastern Conference standings with a poor 4-9 record.
We’re surprised to see the Wizards come into this one as such heavy favourites in the form they’re in. The Cavaliers look revitalised and we’re expecting them to make this one competitive until the final siren.

San Antonio Spurs at Phoenix Suns
The Spurs have endured a tough stretch of games to start the season, but have managed to keep their head above water in a tough Western Conference, where they currently sit in sixth position with a 7-5 record. They’re coming off a tough loss to the Kings, but will get a much easier fixture on Thursday when they travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns in the second leg of a three game road trip.
The Suns continue to put in poor first half performances in most their games, which effectively ruins their chances of any possible success. They’re coming off another tough loss to the Thunder, which took their season tally to 2-11 and bottom of the Western Conference.
The Spurs have had the wood over the Suns for some time now and seem to feast on their inexperience. We’re very happy to take the Spurs on the road at a small head start in this one.
