The 2017 Formula 1 season continues this weekend with the Singapore Grand Prix to be held on Sunday night (AEST). The race for the 2017 Championship has well and truly heated up as we move into the the last third of the season.
With a great win in Italy, Lewis Hamilton leap frogged rival Sebastian Vettel in the standings and now sits just three points clear atop the table. The win was his sixth of the season and third in four races as he looks to take a stranglehold on the championship.
The Singapore Grand Prix isn’t a favourite of Hamilton’s with the British driver having won the race just twice in his illustrious career. On the contrary, it is arguably Sebastian Vettel’s favourite race. The German has won the race four of the last six years and is odds on to win again this weekend.
Vettel holds the lap record at the previous Marina Bay track, venue for the Singapore GP prior to 2015. Since then, however, it is Aussie Daniel Ricciardo who boasts the fasted time on the revised circuit. Vettel hasn’t had a win in his last two races but has podium’d in both of them, we like him to recapture the lead in the championship here.

Our Aussie boy Daniel Ricciardo went on a string of podiums that netted us a good amount of cash through the middle portion of the season. He has now finished on the podium in six out of 13 races and with the lap record at the revised Singapore track, he should be able to jag a decent position on the grid and stand on the podium again.
