After a blockbuster weekend of racing, we are backing it up with a full slate of Monday racing tips for the 3rd of April. See our tips for every race as well as our best bets and best value for both the Mildura and Scone meets below.
MILDURA RACING TIPS
R1 - Don't Have To Yell
R2 - Yulong Xiong Ba (best bet)
R3 - Gin Atomic
R4 - Borrowdale Boy
R5 - Scatter Blast
R6 - Seaulamont EW / Dornale EW
R7 - Quick Beers
R8 - Sandhill Express EW
Best Bet: Race 2 Yulong Xiong Ba
Raced in harder races than this in his maiden preparation with placings at pakenham and Bendigo before going down as long odds on favourite at Warrnambool. Obviously had an issue there as he was sent straight from a spell and all he has to do is bring his form from last prep to this race to be winning. $2.20 still available.
Best Value: Race 6 Seaulamont / Dornale
Two horses in this race at big odds worth having something on. Seaulamont ($21) mixes his form and is having his 90th start and goes well at this track and distance. Ran 2nd here last start and drops 3kg today with the claim. Dornale ($17) won that race and although carries more weight here can be competitive again. Backing both.
SCONE RACING TIPS
R1 - My Maggie
R2 - Lady Segolene
R3 - Moonlight Waltz / Astral Miss EW
R4 - Sacamano
R5 - Lifeline Princess
R6 - Magic Archer
R7 - Mr Mcbat
R8 - Three Sheets
R9 - Strike For Victory
Best Bet: Race 9 Strike For Victory
Broke his maiden in good style and was rather luckless at his other three starts. Won a trial leading into this and the horse that ran 2nd was Three Sheets who should be very competitive in the Open class sprint in Race 8. If he's trialling well against that horse then he should be very hard to beat in a Class 1. $4 available.
Best Value: Race 6 Magic Archer
Wide open race but ran well first up from a 500 day spell on Soft ground when 3rd at Orange. Last start he was absolutely slaughtered when sent forward at the 600m after sitting three-wide. Can win this if he bounces back to what he showed first up. $9.
