Big day of ice hockey action coming up on Wednesday, October 26th and we have our NHL betting tips for the Australian televised Tampa Bay Lightning at Toronto Maple Leafs, plus a few more interesting games.
Tampa Bay Lightning at Toronto Maple Leafs (Wed, Oct. 26th at 10:35am AEST)
Tampa Bay will visit Toronto on Wednesday morning's Australian televised game. The Lightning ended their opening game of the 2016-2017 season on a high, scoring four goals in the third period against the Red Wings at Amalie Arena in Tampa. All the Tampa forwards were gelling together with six different scorers on the night including goals from Alex Killorn and Valtteri Filppula.
Tampa Bay is one of those teams that never lets their fans down. They are always competitive at home and can cause upsets in playoff games. It's very hard to pick against them at home, but unfortunately for them, this game is in Toronto.
High hopes surround the Maple Leafs this season with number one pick Auston Matthews being claimed by Toronto in the 2016 draft. The top prospect scored an unbelievable four goals in his debut game over the Senators to give Toronto fans some hope for an exciting season ahead. They also snagged hot prospect Mitch Marner in the draft as well. He too scored his first goal for the season against Boston, definitely exciting times ahead for the Leafs.

Florida Panthers at Pittsburgh Penguins (Wed, Oct. 26th at 10:00am AEST)
The Panthers have a started well in the opening few games with victories over the Devils, Red Wings and an OT lose to the Lightning in Tampa. After a fantastic 2015 season, the young talented Panthers made some key additions to their squad this year, adding in players like Keith Yandle, Jonathan Marchessault and also James Reimer for a back up goalie to Luongo. Florida will like their chances of knocking over the champs on their own ice. Last year they played eachother three times and all games went to extra time and one to a shoot out.
The defending champ Penguins have had some early hiccups with Crosby still out with concussion and now Kris Letang and Conor Sheary are suffering injuring in a 4-0 loss to Montreal and been put on the day-to-day list. Of course it to early to worry when last year they weren’t looking even like making playoffs and look what ended up happening! I don't think they will win this one, but should be a good game.

Calgary Flames at St Louis Blues (Wed, Oct. 26th at 11:05am AEST)
Calgary got their first victory four games into the season over Buffalo in OT. The Flames were dominated in the first two opening games against the Oilers, giving up a total of 12 goals but the defense finally stepped up in game three over the Canucks in a 1-2 loss.
The Flames will meet a red hot Blues team who were 3-1-0 before meeting with the undefeated Oilers. Calgary may struggle to match the offensive lines of St Louis with Terasenko off to a flying start alongside Stastney and Alexander Steen. With the blues at home they should win.
Tip: St Louis to win Hd-Hd - $1.50 at Sportsbet
Columbus Blue Jackets at Los Angeles Kings (Wed, Oct. 26th at 1:35pm AEST)
The Kings have had a rough start to the season with goalkeeper Jonathan Quick leaving the opening game with a groin injury. Since Quick going down, the Kings lost the opening three games of the season. They eventually got their season running with a victory over a solid Dallas team. It’s very early in the season but if Quick is out for a month or two, LA may have some catch up hockey into the second half of the season.
After two away losses, the Blue Jackets had a five day break before heading home to take on the Blackhawks. It's hard to pick what the Jackets will produce this year, but they do have strengths in their roster, with young prospects and now another experienced goalie in Anton Forsberg. Expect a close battle but I believe Kings will take this one on home ice.
Tip: LA Kings to win Hd-Hd - $1.62 at Sportsbet
