Running during AFL Round 5 and NRL Round 8, the Before You Bet Footy Cup pits punter vs punter in a betting tournament that sees each participant trying to build the largest 'virtual' bankroll.
Each entrant in the Before You Bet Footy Cup will start with $5,000 'BettaBucks' - TopBetta's virtual currency - which can be used to make bets all weekend long. The aim of the game is to win as many BettaBucks as you can punting on the NRL and AFL this weekend.
Markets available to bet on with your BettaBucks include all NRL and AFL games running this weekend (Friday, April 22 - Monday, April 25) with options such as head-to-heads, lines, highest scoring quarters and halves, first goal and try scorers and more!
The winner will be determined by which participant has the most BettaBucks after the final game of the tournament which is the Anzac Day AFL match between the Magpies and the Bombers.
If you are more an NRL fan than an AFL fan there is no reason you can't only bet on the NRL with your BettaBucks and skip all the AFL games. Same goes if you would rather only focus on betting on the AFL!
The only rule of the Before You Bet Foot Cup is that you must 'turnover' your $5,000 in BettaBucks at least once, which just means you can't sit out not betting and win the tournament just because your opponents busted their virtual bankroll.
