Ladbrokes Park Hillside hosts midweek racing in Victoria this week with an eight-race program on offer for punters. The track is currently rated a Soft 5 but watch conditions as Dry weather is expected in the lead up so the track may dry out overnight. My three best bets are below, with the first starting at 2:30pm (AEDT)!

Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday, March 19th 2025
Race 3: Sportsbet Feed Handicap - 3:40pm (AEDT)
(11) Pacific Cross has drawn wide in 12 and has been runner-up in his past 5 races but is good enough to win here. We will play each-way due to the barrier and we will need a nice steer from Blake Shinn. An upgrade in track conditions will suit because he does go better on Dry ground. Last start at The Valley he ran home very well for 2nd and the 2400m looks like it will be fine.
(3) Move On In is third up here and will be fitter after two unplaced runs this prep. Will get back and will run on and Hillside might suit.
(5) Speak is proven over this distance and is a last start winner, will start fav but hasn’t won on Soft ground in 5 starts. Went forward last start and will like push up there again.
(11) Pacific Cross Each-Way
$4.20/$1.75 (1U/2U)
Race 5: Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap - 4:50pm (AEDT)
(5) Zloties is 1 from 1 when second up from a spell and her 3rd at Lakeside on resumption was good enough. She closed well and the distance looks idea at this stage of her prep. Jordan Childs stays on and he has won twice on top previously. Drawn barrier 5 again like she did last start and she will likely settle in the “one-one” in transit.
(7) Pink Chandon is second up after a long spell and she should improve like Zloties should. First try at the track and she won’t care if the track is Good or Soft. Was 21-1 last start and will start single figures in an easier race here.
(8) Quiseen has drawn poorly in 11 but the bigger open track should suit. Got the money at Ballarat last start and will likely be 100 percent fit now being third up.
(5) Zloties
$2.60 (3 Units)
Race 6: Quayclean Handicap - 5:25pm (AEDT)
(7) Excelindeed for Waterhouse & Bott won on a Good track at Seymour on Good ground and followed that up with 2nd on Dry ground at Pakenham when beaten a nose, big chance there is a track upgrade her and if that is the case, he's a huge chance. Was backed into $1.70 last start so he must be training well at home and he may try and lead here.
(12) Bossy Benita has never missed a top 3 finish on Dry ground so she may also like an upgrade. Barrier 12 is a concern though but she can settle forward or back.
(4) Kalkallo had a gun run at this track last start when 4th and gets another shot at the same track here. Has Mark Zahra on top which is a good get and he has run some quick sectionals previously. Two starts for two seconds at Hillside.
(7) Excelindeed Each-Way
$4.00/$1.60 (1U/2U)
